Allure Beauty Box is a monthly beauty subscription service that sends 5 deluxe sized product samples with a value of at least $50 and is curated by the editors of Allure Magazine, who choose and test the products themselves. It’s $15 a month and if you sign up for a year-long subscription you will pay for 10 boxes and get 2 more boxes for free. All new members will receive a mystery gift that will ship separately from the regular box.

DEAL: Sign up for the Allure Beauty Box and receive a free bonus gift – PLUS save $5 off your first month’s box!

Gone is the glossy red box; my items showed up in a white box with a black bag.

I received a promo card with a code for a free gift with purchase at Gorjana.

Allure is a magazine of course and so they produce a mini-magazine with all the featured items in the box.

The magazine lists each product, the MSRP of the full-sized product, and where you can find more. Plus, you can find some discount codes for a future purchase.

The mini magazine has had a bit of a makeover too.

The magazine also tells you how you can use the products in the box.

FYI: On the last page, it shows 3 makeup items but make sure to note that you will receive one of the three, and your box may be a bit different from mine.

Refer a friend and receive a free gift when they sign up using your link. The current gift (actually, there are two included!) is Ceramic Slip Cleanser and Good Genes Lactic Acid Treatment, from Sunday Riley.

Here is the new beauty bag, which I think will be in future boxes from now on.

It is made of black see-through plastic and has a snap closure. So far it hasn’t ripped!

Everything in my box!

Mamonde Flower Lab Mask in Rose ($3) Subscribers will receive one of seven scents in their box.

The mask material is eucalyptus pulp and is supposed to adhere well to the skin. The serum may draw moisture to the skin thanks to hyaluronic acid. Apply after cleansing, keep it on the face for 20 minutes max, then remove the mask and gently pat in the remaining serum.

Model Co Metallic Eyeshadow Trio in Mykonos ($18 AUD, around $12.89 USD) Yay, I love receiving eye shadow in subscription boxes!

ModelCo comes from Australia and is vegan and cruelty-free. Two of the shadow shades are pretty intense and while there was fallout it wiped away easily enough. I am not bold enough to try the burgundy shade but the other two were both my style. I would suggest wearing an eyelid primer to help the lighter color show up.

Wander Beauty Mile High Club Mascara ($26) I am always up for trying a new mascara!

Wander claims that lashes look voluminous and long after just one coat, while the formula will nourish lashes. It is also water resistant.

The brush looks like most. The first time I used it I felt like there was nothing on my lashes and didn’t see any difference at all. I did discover a trick that helped the second time around: Take the brush out of the container, squeeze the sides of the container together, stick the brush back in, then pull it out and apply. I found I had more product on the brush when I did those steps and the second time around it at least looked like I had lashes!

Moda Metallics Triad Eye Brush ($4.99) is made of vegan bristles and can be used in a variety of ways.

It has an angled top and can be used as a crease brush or to apply shadow on the lid. It is stiffer than most eye brushes I have used and worked well!

Laritzy Cosmetics Lip Pencil in Bare ($18) is one of three products that subscribers received (the others were a Mally lipstick and a Doucce eye liner).

The shade “Bare” is described as a neutral peachy pink. It didn’t really show up on my lips but does provide a bit of staying power for any lipstick placed over it.

Mamonde Petal Spa Oil To Foam ($3) I am familiar with the double cleanse and now do it every day, but this product is supposed to do both steps at once! I started by applying some of the cleanser to my face and although it is supposed to feel like an oil, it really didn’t. Then you wet your fingers and work up a lather, which it definitely did. While it did remove my face makeup in one go, it was also highly perfumed and too drying for my skin.

The BrowGal Instatint in Brown Hair 02 ($22) I’m not usually into brow products but this one was pretty cool!

There are 3 shades available and I received Brown Hair 02, which turned out to be perfect for my coloring.

The product has fibers that look like real hair and add volume. It looked like my brows but better, and it didn’t leave a weird feeling behind. I’m really impressed!

Here are the makeup items swatched. I started with the eye shadows, then lip liner, and finally the brow gel.

What an amazing box this month from Allure! I’m not sure if there was a theme but all of the products were intended for use on the face. I liked the makeup items, especially the brow gel, and the makeup brush will be added to my beauty routine. I’m not a fan of face masks but my daughters like to use them for spa nights. The cleanser was also too strong for my skin type but that is a personal preference and I did like the convenience of skipping a step on a busy evening. The value for my February box was around $90! I love that Allure typically sends full-sized makeup items and it is one of my very favorite subscription boxes!
