A short profile is filled out at checkout including cat’s name, gender, weight, and if treats are to be included. If your kitty has special dietary needs then a substitution for a non-edible item will be made. WhiskerBox supports shelters, rescues, and sanctuaries with each box purchased.
WhiskerBox sends toys, cat couture, treats, and specialty products each month.
The theme for December was Meowy Christmas! WhiskerBox no longer puts out a product info card, so keep in mind that boxes may vary.
My items were tucked into purple shredded paper and one item was tucked into a festive bag.
Everything in my box!
Fromm Turkey Pâté Cat Food ($4.08) is formulated to provide cats with the nutrition that they need no matter what their age. It contains turkey, turkey liver, chicken, and pearled barley, and even though the company says this product is grain-free I am pretty sure barley is a grain, and it’s the 4th ingredient listed so it’s pretty high up there. Sunny loved it!
BC Buddy Catnip Mouse ($2.99 CAD, about $2.25 USD) is a hemp bag decorated like a mouse and filled with catnip.
It’s even refillable and hemp is pretty durable, it should last a while. The catnip is in a plastic baggie inside the mouse, so you need to remove it and dump the catnip back inside the mouse.
Zoey took a sniff.
It certainly caught Sunny’s attention.
She was so happy she rolled over and over on it for a while.
I think this belongs to her now.
As we say in Texas, “Come and take it”.
Kit Cat Purr Puree Plus Skin & Coat ($4.25) I found this on a site located in Asia, but if you are looking for something similar in the US, check out Inaba Churu on Amazon.
It contains 4 packs of puree in easy open packets that you can either pour directly into a bowl, pour it over their usual wet or dry food, or feed it to your cat if they are willing, and get ready for them to make silly faces!
Sunny was ready and willing to be the tester this month!
Oops, it got on her nose! Do you think she cares? Not one bit.
Zoey came over to see what all the fuss was about.
Want some Zoey?
Nah, I’m good.
It’s all mine!!!
To get into the holiday spirit, WhiskerBox placed one item inside a cute holiday bag. Let’s see what’s inside!
Awww, it’s a super cute Christmas Knitted Hat! Similar hats run about $10-15 but I couldn’t find this exact one online.
I waited until Zoey was relaxed to try to put this one her giant head.
I let her sniff it first to see if that would make her feel more at ease.
It turned out to be too small. I bet it would fit a chihuahua though.
Maybe I can just set it on top of her head?
This was as good as it got. She allowed me to take the picture but she wasn’t using her kind eyes.
My cats liked the cat food and snacks in the December Whiskerbox, and the toy is durable and cute. The hat looked cute too but was too small and my cats dislike hats anyways. As for the value, I don’t think it’s really up there in terms of a high value, but the items can be hard to find online and I didn’t have to pay for individual shipping costs, and some of the products are from other countries. If you like to dress your cat up and they don’t seem to mind then give WhiskerBox a try!
