Target Beauty Box comes out once a month and you have to grab them up because they go quickly! Each box is around $7, like this one. Make sure to sign up here to get notified when future boxes go on sale and keep in mind that this is a one-time purchase and not an ongoing subscription.

FYI – the January boxes are currently still available, along with the men’s box from December!

My products came in a cute box and were wrapped in tissue paper. I like that the boxes are decorated and I even use them to store beauty products and stationery.

Sure, makeup is a lot of fun, but let’s start with some skincare to fight off winter dryness.

The product information card listed the products included in the box and a little info about each item. There was a coupon for a purchase in-store or online to save $3 when you make a $15+ beauty purchase.

Wow, Target, good job on the color coordination this month!

Everything in my box! Looks like a good assortment of products!

Cera Ve Skin Renewing Night Cream ($1.27) My dermatologist recommends Cera Ve products and so I was happy to try out a new product from the line!

This luxurious cream helps restore the moisture barrier overnight, when skin is actively working to repair itself from the day’s assaults. I really liked it and will be purchasing it as soon as I run out. Despite its creaminess, it didn’t leave my skin greasy and I think my skin has looked pretty good the past few days, maybe the extra moisture is helping to soothe dryness.

La Roche-Posay Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Cleanser ($0.55) helps clean skin without stripping it of its natural oils, which can leave it red and irritated. I used it after using a makeup remover and it helped remove all of those last traces of junk without making my skin feel raw. It was creamy and I prefer that kind of product rather than one that lathers.

Cetaphil Moisturizing Body Cream ($0.34) I really like to use unscented body lotions because they won’t interfere with my perfume of the day. This one was very creamy yet ungreasy, but the sample is kind of small, only enough for me to apply it once to my arms and legs. I think this is a good cream for winter.

Vichy Laboratories Mineral 89 Skin Fortifying Daily Booster ($3.41) has hyaluronic acid, which is supposed to draw water to the skin to keep it moist. No fragrance was added and the serum is non-greasy, non-tacky, and my skin absorbed it quickly. The first ingredient is mineral-rich thermal water, which has 15 different minerals inside to help plump up the skin.

La Roche-Posay Redermic R Anti-Aging Concentrate ($9.69) While perusing the products from this brand online, I noticed that they have several different lines, and now I want to try the Rosalaic line! This product is from the “R” line, which is for retinol. Retinol products are supposed to be used at night to help fight signs of aging, and this one in particular focuses on reducing wrinkles and helping improve skin’s texture and tone. It has a light floral fragrance and is non-greasy.

Cetaphil Extra Gentle Daily Scrub (45¢) I was looking forward to trying this scrub, but it didn’t work as well as I wanted. First of all, I couldn’t really tell that it was doing any exfoliating at all. Second, the fragrance was very strong, and I prefer not to use highly-fragranced products on my face. That’s what I love about these boxes – sometimes I find a product I can’t wait to buy again, and I also know what to steer clear of when I’m shopping the aisles.

Dove Derma Series Dry Skin Relief Body Lotion ($1.17) Yay, another unscented body lotion, this time from Dove! It is also very creamy and left my skin soft and smooth. I get itchy this time of year and my skin stayed itch-free all day long after I used this. It’s less expensive per ounce than the Cetaphil, so if the value is a concern then this is a good substitute. I will buy this again!

What a cool box of skincare from Target! I always like the variety of products in the Target Beauty Boxes, and this one was skincare intensive, just what I needed to face winter and the drying effects of wind, cold air, and indoor heating. I was especially happy with the moisturizing body lotions, I like that they help lock moisture in my skin and yet they won’t compete with my perfume. There were a couple of ritzier skincare brands in here too, and although I probably wouldn’t buy the full-sized versions, I sure do like trying them out. My favorite was the Cera Ve, since my doctor recommends that brand and I have wanted to try one of their more moisturizing products, and now feel confident about buying a full bottle! The value for this box was around $16.88, not too bad for a $7 box, plus I have a $3 off coupon that I can use to purchase my favorites!
