PostBox is a paper and stationery subscription box by Postmark’d Studio filled with handcrafted greeting cards and postcards from around the world. PostBox curates the items to a theme and it costs $25 a month plus shipping. You can save on a longer subscription – save 10% on a 3-month sub, 15% on a 6-month sub, and 20% on a 12-month sub. Each sub is $5 a month for shipping.

Each month, your PostBox card box is filled with four greeting cards, one postcard, postage, and a fun artsy doodad such as a pen, pencil, or knick-knack gadget based on a theme. The value of the products in your subscription box will always be what you pay for each month, sometimes more. There may be a surprise bonus gift some months, so you don’t want to miss a box!

DEAL: Get 40% off or $10 off your first box when you sign up for a 3-month subscription. Use the code HS404ME.

PostBox is perfect for those who enjoy sending a handwritten letter or who wants to keep thank you cards on hand. The items in the box would also make a nice hostess gift in a pinch.

I received a card.

It’s 3D! A handwritten card is always appreciated!

My products were wrapped with beautiful ribbon. It lifts out of the box in one piece!

I received a card with info on all of my new products. I enjoyed reading the short bio about the makers and where they are from. The theme for January 2019 is Zesty!

The back of the card had a recipe. I love that we received a citrus-themed box in the winter since that is when citrus fruits are at their peak!

Everything in my box! Let’s pop it open and see what all is in here!

I always receive a Postmark’d postcard. Usually I receive a blue pencil too but there are 3 pencils in here this month, catch them later in the review.

Objects With Purpose Star Candle ($10) is a little candle tin that is perfect for travel, since it won’t break like a glass jar might. Also, it doubles as a massage oil when warm, and triples as a scented body fragrance when cold, just dab on pulse points!

It even came with a book of matches! The scent is a combo of Tahitian vanilla, cardamom, and lime zest and the base is coconut wax. I did use it as a perfume and I really enjoyed the scent as it wasn’t particularly masculine or feminine, just warm and zesty.

Citrus Pun Pencils are a Postmark’d Studio exclusive item and I LOVE a cute pun!

These will make me smile every time I use them.

Postcards ($3?) I found 3 postcards that have a bit of ombre color going on. Perfect for a quick note to let someone know they’re your main squeeze. I’m not sure which maker this is from, maybe I missed it on the info card, but I found a similar item here.

inkello Citrus Slice Mini Booklets ($3) are teeny little notebooks that can be kept handy to jot something quick, like a phone number or email address.

There are 6 blank papers inside.

The outside covers have a little sparkle to them. So cute! You know your kid will feel extra special if you send a note in their lunch on one of these cuties.

Lili Graffiti Lemon Pie Card (5 CAD, about $3.78 USD) is super sunny and my mouth is watering now. The maker is located in Canada and you can order this card with words in English or French! Blank inside with matching yellow envelope.

Brown Parcel Press Citrus Bowl Card ($5) is a bowl full of lovely oranges and you can actually feel them in the bowl on this letterpress card. Blank on the inside with a sandstone colored envelope.

Hazelmade Hey, Hey It’s Your Birthday Card ($5?) This little shop is on a break but should be up and running again soon. Three mojitos grace the cover of this card so send it to someone to toast their birthday. Blank inside with brown envelope.

Hazel + Dolly Grapefruit Note Card ($3.75) is part of a box set that includes 3 other fruity cards. Blank on the inside and with a white envelope, it is perfect for a variety of situations, or just to say hello.

Orange Slice Coin Purse (similar item here, $9) Is this what is called kawaii? It is so adorable, a cute little plush slice of orange. It wasn’t listed on the card so I think it’s a bonus!

It is lined inside and has a keychain on the zipper pull. It’s about 5″ across the top and almost 4″ tall in the middle.

Vintage USPS Postage Lately most of the postage we have received in PostBox is vintage!

The back of the little card gave some suggested combos to help reach the amount needed to mail a letter, which is currently 50¢, while a postcard costs 35¢ to mail.

NOTE: The cost to mail a standard letter will increase to 55¢ starting January 27, 2019. Postcards will remain 35¢. Forever stamps, like the John Lennon ones below, do not require extra postage, but keep in mind that any card or letter weighing over 1 ounce will need additional postage.

Look at how pretty they all are, with their sunny bright yellows, oranges, and greens, plus a blue John Lennon stamp just because.

I loved the burst of colors in the January PostBox! I grew up in Southern California, where we had all kinds of citrus tress growing in our backyard, so this box was extra special to me! Imagine someone opening one of these cards in the dead of winter and seeing all of the bright and cheerful colors and prints! I am always impressed with my monthly box of cards and love the extras such as pretty pencils and candles. Plus, the value always exceeds the price paid for the subscription!
