Boxuchan is a personalized subscription box that sends anime DVDs that comes with extra surprises. Each box costs $49.99 and includes free shipping. You can also get a quarterly box at $139.99. The box contains at least one whole anime series or a full season on DVD or Blu-Ray, an extra anime product, personal messages, and reviews for all the items and inclusions.

When you sign up for Boxuchan, you will complete a survey to accurately express your preferences, then Boxuchan handpicks the anime DVD and other anime related surprises that are personalized just for you! Additionally, there will be reviews and explanations written out detailing out what you get and why.

The box looks cool, and even includes the subscription name in Japanese.

The items are all protectively packaged!

There are a red wrapping paper and blue squiggles.

They also included a trifold pamphlet.

It lists all the box’s contents and some brief descriptions.

Here’s everything in our first ever Boxuchan box!

Boxuchan T-Shirt. The first thing we got from the box is the subscription’s official shirt. It’s in blue and has a comfortable fit.

I didn’t know that pink print can look good on an overall blue shirt but I’m digging it. The print is the subscription’s name in Japanese.

They also included the Boxuchan’s website URL at the upper back of the shirt.

Solty Rei.

In a future-based disaster-ridden city with an enormous gap between the rich and the poor, it is hard to tell which humans are walking around with cybernetic body parts. This makes Roy Revant’s job as a renegade bounty hunter/bodyguard-for-hire even more difficult. When a young girl with unbeliveable strength rescues him from a particularly dangerous criminal, Roy realizes that perhaps help can be found in the strangest of places. Joining together with a few others, they engage in a battle to find out the truth behind the giant conglomerates that are supposedly serving mankind and making life better.

Solty, an android who has lost her memory, has escaped and is being hunted by the RUC Security Bureau. She encounters the bounty hunter Roy and he adopts her as his daughter after being hired as a bodyguard for Miranda.

I got 2 cases for this series, each containing 2 discs. One features Solty, Roy, and Rose, while the other features only Solty and Roy.

The other side of the case features the supporting characters Larry Anderson pointing out his gun, and the other case has Miranda and Kashia Maverick.

Solty Rei is an underrated series. Boxuchan says that the characters are fully fleshed out in this Sci-Fi series and I definitely agree. Add the awesome animation and CGI to the mix and you have a great anime series worth watching over and over!

Even the interior of the case has awesome illustrations of characters from Solty Rei. The series is made up of 24 episodes, having 23-minute length per episode. It’s really great for binge-watching!

If you love a Sci-Fi drama coupled with action, this would be a good choice.

Trigun Badlands Rumble.

20 years after meddling into the bank heist of a notorious robber named Gasback, Vash the Stampede is heading towards Macca City. Rumors say that the legendary thief might appear there causing an enormous influx of bounty hunters in the area who want to collect the $$300,000,000 prize for his head.

It is a full-length feature film and includes lots of extra features such as cast interviews, web promotion clips and videos, theatrical commercials, and more. Trigun was really popular in the 90s, so getting this in the box made me somewhat nostalgic. Badlands Rumble, however, is a brand new story. I’m just happy they released it, even if it’s a little over 20 years later.

The first disc contains the feature film, while the other disc has all the extras. Like the 90s version, the plot is also fun and exciting. The animation is superb as well, and the voice actors are still the originals! It’s a must-have for longtime fans, or even new ones!

This looks like a really promising subscription! Being an anime fan who’s always looking for new titles to watch, this could help me in naming the next series that I am going to binge-watch! Solty Rei is a new discovery and I’m really just glad I came across it. It’s worthy of being a new favorite. What I am most excited about is the Trigun feature film! I was able to watch the series, so getting a film about this classic is marvelous. Also, the shirt is cute. The box is definitely well-curated! I’m so happy with the items!
