Annie’s Simply Beads Kit-of-the-Month Club is a monthly jewelry subscription box where YOU make your own creation! For $19.99 per month, you’ll receive a beading kit with step-by-step instruction and all the beads and findings you need to complete a piece of jewelry you’ll love to wear!

This kit is called Red Creek Jaspre & Tassels and features a lovely long tassel necklace with earrings.

The kit comes in a plastic tray with deep dishes to keep all your beads and findings separate. It comes with its own plastic cover so you can move it around, even if you are not done with your project yet. The beads and findings were nicely packaged in plastic bags inside the dishes in the tray.

The booklet has nice and clear pictures of the individual components in the kit. It also tells you right away what you will need to complete the project besides what’s provided in the kit.

There’s also a list of the techniques you’ll be using. You need to keep the Beading Guide you’ve received with the first shipment, but on the website, there’s a tutorial video for each kit for further explanations.

The instructions and assembly patterns are usually easy to follow along, but this month was a bit awkward has the pattern of each dangles and links were on one side of the booklet, and the assembly on the other side, so I had to go back and forth to make sure I was using the right dangle and link.

First step was to make loops with the head and eye pins. This is my progression from left to right: thread the pin, bend, cut, loop.

There was quite a bit of chain lengths to make. To make sure I get all the links of the same size, I measure and cut one length, then I thread it and the rest of the chain on a pin and cut the second chain where it fits the first length.

Getting all the components side by side before linking them to make sure I have the right pattern.

The earrings were a bit different to thread, but they were quite easy to make.

This is one of the tassel components almost done. Two more to go!

Here’s the necklace. It’s a very long one, and the tassel looks amazing with a sweater!

All together!

And a nice close up look at the tassel and earrings. This was a nice project to make, very close to my own style as I love making tassels, and I love tassel necklace. The colors are lovely as well, perfect for winter months and big comfy sweaters. Overall, this project took me about 1-2 hours to make, the longest time spent on making the chain links.

Annie’s Simply Beads Kit-of-the-Month is perfect for beginners, or for someone more advanced who just wants to sit down with everything needed to make a fun design without having to think too much about it. Few techniques are needed to achieve great looks that can be reproduced with a different type of beads and findings. The tray is an added bonus as I was able to move everything from my beading room to the living room without any problem.

Have you tried this Kit-of-the-Month? What did you think of this project?
