PostBox is a paper and stationery subscription box by Postmark’d Studio filled with handcrafted greeting cards and postcards from around the world. PostBox curates the items to a theme and it costs $25 a month plus shipping. You can save on a longer subscription – save 10% on a 3-month sub, 15% on a 6-month sub, and 20% on a 12-month sub. Each sub is $5 a month for shipping.

Each month, your PostBox card box is filled with four greeting cards, one postcard, postage, and a fun artsy doodad such as a pen, pencil, or knick-knack gadget based on a theme. The value of the products in your subscription box will always be what you pay for each month, sometimes more. There may be a surprise bonus gift some months, so you don’t want to miss a box!

DEAL: Get 40% off or $10 off your first box when you sign up for a 3-month subscription. Use the code HS404ME.

PostBox is perfect for those who enjoy sending a handwritten letter or who wants to keep thank you cards on hand. The items in the box would also make a nice hostess gift in a pinch.

I received a card. The envelope usually gives a clue to the theme. The back was sealed with wax!

A handwritten card is always appreciated!

My products were wrapped with a spiffy bow tie. It lifts out of the box in one piece!

I received a card with info on all of my new products. I enjoyed reading the short bio about the makers and where they are from. The theme for December is Just Chill!

Everything in my box!

Oh, it’s all about penguins! Perfect!

The bow tie is just one of the extra special touches that makes this subscription stand out.

I put it on my cat. She loves it!

I always receive a Postmark’d pencil and postcard. This card has a penguin on it!

Ooly Splendid Pen Fountain Pen ($10.14) My mom used a fountain pen back in the day and I never got to try it for myself. I think I will use it to write a note to my mom!

I received the pen and 3 cartridges (one is already inside the pen.)

Isn’t it pretty?

Lately we have been receiving vintage US postage stamps for our cards.

There is a card inside that shows possible combinations of stamps that add up to 50¢. PLEASE NOTE that the price to send a letter will increase to 55¢ starting January 27, 2019, so these combos will need to be adjusted if mailed after that date.

I remember seeing some of these stamps when I was a child and may have some used ones somewhere around here in my stamp collection.

Pukaca Penguin Paper Craft Postcard ($5.31) is part of a set of 4 different Ice Animal postcards that you can mail to a friend. All they need is scissors and glue to turn the card into an animal.

There’s space for a short greeting and an address.

General instructions are included. Very cute and unique!

Catherine Greenup Visual Emperor Penguin Card ($9) Although I couldn’t find this card, there are similar cards on the website and you can choose the cheery color you wish. Blank inside with matching envelope.

Harken Press Warm & Fuzzies Card ($5) Isn’t this little guy adorable? I’m not sure if it’s because penguins look like they wear bow ties or because I watched Happy Feet, but I always think of penguins as males. This letterpress card is blank on the inside and comes with a kraft paper envelope. The card is made of cotton, so no trees were chopped down!

The First Snow You Make Me Happy Card ($5.95) is so sweet, just like my student who sang this to a friend when the friend was crying. Blank on the inside and with a cream colored envelope that has metallic gold polka dots on the inside.

9th Letter Press Penguin Birthday Card ($6) is perfect to send to someone who has a birthday in winter. This lil dude has metallic gold accents, and the envelope is full on metallic. Blank on the inside.

Inklings Paperie FlurryGram ($6) I saw a meme that said “Establish dominance by sending glitter in Christmas cards” and this reminded me of that!

It actually has not only glitter but when you add water you will see the white stuff turn into “snow”! Remove the card, address and stamp it, then place back in the clear envelope. The recipient will remove the card and then can add water to the cellophane bag to make snow!

Ooly Itsy-Bitsy Arctic Antics Stickers ($1.99) I am always looking for cute stickers to use in my planner and these are super adorable! They feature arctic polar animals and are puffy. I have already used half of them up!

I loved the December PostBox! The theme was super cool and I liked the variety of cards and the other stationery items, especially the stickers. I can’t wait to use the pen and now I need to figure out who is getting the card with snow inside. I can’t believe the value, over $50 worth of items (not including the bow tie and stamps) were in here, more than twice the price paid for the subscription!
