Scentwist is a monthly fragrance subscription box for men and women. Simply place your fragrance selections in your queue and your order will ship by the 10th of the month. If you’re not sure what to choose or like surprises, let the professionals choose a fragrance for you. Every box comes with a 30-day supply of fragrance and in your first box you will receive a case to house your fragrance. When you sign up you will select the color of your case from one of nine colors and you will receive a new case every 4 months.

Each month we hand pick and assemble each box. On your first month you’ll receive the following:

  • A chic twist case to house your fragrance
  • A Vial with your fragrance of choice
  • Enough fragrance to last you 30 days
  • 100% Authentic Designer Fragrance
  • A velvet sleeve to store your case & fragrance
  • Delivered FREE every month to your door

I started by taking a quick scent quiz and received some suggestions on what I should order, but then I perused the scents on offer and decided to fill up my queue with popular scents like Mon Paris and Black Opium.

I received a card in my first box welcoming me to Scentwist.

The back of the card gave instructions on how to use my sprayer. It also mentioned ways you can earn points and then turn those points into rewards.

You can order your case color at sign up. I missed the part that had the color choice but wrote in my comments that I would prefer a purple case but instead I received a classic basic black.

I also received a velvet case to keep my sprayer from getting scratched in my purse.

Viktor & Rolf Bonbon Eau De Parfum ($68 for 1 ounce) Scentwist holds 8 ml (.27 ounces) of fragrance, enough to spritz a few times a day and have it last through the month. I went with Bonbon since I love the original Flowerbomb and wanted to try a different scent from this brand. It is a fruity floral gourmand but I think it fell short of the “gourmand” part and is sweet and innocent and should be hugely popular. Scent notes include orange blossoms, caramel, and amber but honestly it smells like sweet berries and is also floral. It’s missing that caramel component but it is still a lovely fragrance.

I encountered some hits and misses with my first Scentwist. I think the website needs to be more user-friendly. When browsing the fragrances I would make a selection but when I added a scent to my queue I had to start all over again. I am also having a hard time moving items around in my queue so that needs to be fixed. I was assured I would receive a purple case but didn’t. I was very impressed with the scent offerings, where else can I find YSL Paris without buying a huge bottle of that retro scent? Plus the currently popular scents were there too. My choice this month was worth around $18.36 so that was pretty sweet since I have been unable to find it in stores to sample and didn’t want to buy a full-sized bottle without knowing if I liked it or not.

How much is this box? Or am I looking over the box price in the review?
