We have the November 2018 Unicorn Crate theme spoilers! The theme this month is LITERARY LANDSCAPES!
⭐ The title featured in this crate is a November hardcover release by a debut author. This lyrical stand-alone YA fantasy is an exploration of loss, healing and what it means to belong. It is told in dual POV alternating between a fantasy world, and a “real one.” This book is thought-provoking and asks the question: what might it be like to return to the real world after being in a fantastical one? In this story you will enter a land of magical creatures, hidden kingdoms, and meet a group of siblings you’ll instantly fall in love with. I found it utterly enchanting and appreciated the author’s rendering of depression and unhealthy coping, both of which are explored through the characters she has created. It has a classic feel to it reminiscent of Narnia or Redwall, something you don’t see a lot of in today’s recent YA titles! Ages 13+
⭐ The November theme is inspired by some of your favorite literary landscapes! The items included will be inspired by Lord of the Rings, ACOTAR, Narnia, The Wizard of Oz, Peter Pan and more. It will also include a note from the author just for Unicorn Crate readers, and a signed bookplate, of course.
