This is a fantastic tool to use to work on fine motor skills and to give those hands a workout to help improve hand strength. Mold the putty into the body of the animal and then push the pieces in to finalize. Once completed, let it sit for a while (without touching!) and it will melt into a big “blob” which is always silly to see. While completing this activity, guide your child to pick up the pieces using a pincer grasp (pads of thumb and index finger together) and to push firmly into the putty. If your child needs help putting the pieces in the correct places, you can use the picture on the front of the container as a visual guide. Overall, a wonderful fine motor toy that’s also fun and silly to play with!
