Macy’s Beauty Box is a monthly subscription that delivers five deluxe beauty samples, one bonus item, and a collectible cosmetics bag for $15 per month. Beauty Box subscribers also get an exclusive $5 beauty coupon that can be used online and in-store.
There’s no extra packaging in the box.
The pouch is so cute and useful too.
The theme this month is ALL ABOUT EYES!
I love how chic the pouch is. It has that metallic shimmer that reminded me of some eyeshadow shades.
It has a zipper enclosure that guarantees what you placed in it will stay inside. It’s a good pouch that can fit some make-up essentials, your cords, or even other accessories.
Each month comes with a Macy Beauty Box booklet.
There is a $5 off coupon at the back of the booklet and $10 minimum that shows up only in cart. The coupon is valid in-store or online from 9/28 until 11/30/2018, but it excludes use for future beauty boxes. There’s free shipping on all Macy’s Beauty orders. Check out these categories sorted from low to high price: Bath & Body, Natural Beauty, Makeup, Skincare, and Travel-size.
Macy’s coupon is back to $5, $10 minimum that shows up only in cart. This month I picked up the Essie quick-e nail drops.
You can also shop full-size items at Macy’s.
Everything in the October 2018 Macy’s Beauty Box!
Girlactik New Precise Marker Eye Liner ($20) Cat-winged eyeliner is “in” nowadays, and what better way to do it than to have a good eyeliner that can make it either thick or thin. Girlactik’s marker eye liner has a precise and soft tip that releases weightless, long-lasting, and smudge-proof product. Using liquid or gel liners is more beneficial than pencil ones as you can perk your lashes more, and easily glides on the lash lines.
Eternity For Men Eau De Toilette ($0.96) A sample size of classic cologne for men is also included, along with a perfume for women. Eternity for Men has top notes of lavender, mandarin orange, bergamot, and lemon. The hint of citrus gives it that soapy and fine fragrance that can last longer.
Calvin Klein Women Eau De Parfum ($2.02) For women, the box included a floral woody musk fragrance, and it’s a new one from Calvin Klein as it was only released this year. It has notes of eucalyptus, black pepper, bergamot, grapefruit, and lemon; almost similar to Eternity for Men, which made me think that it was intended for men when I first smelled it!
Calvin Klein provides fine fragrances at lower prices, and they actually did great with men’s cologne. However, I don’t think I’ll be using the perfume for women that came in the box as I didn’t actually enjoy smelling it on myself.
Lancome Monsieur Big Waterproof Mascara ($4.54) The box focuses on eye products so it’s just perfect that they included something that will make my lashes look more fab!
Lancome’s waterproof mascara has a formula that can last for a long time, and it’s also high-volume. It features a large brush that delivers just the right amount of mascara and helps in easily applying the creamy, sweat- and smudge-proof product. I love how in the long run, it doesn’t turn flaky.
Bareminerals Prime Time Eyelid Primer ($9.50) Eyelid primers help prevent concealers from creasing and makes the other products last longer. This eyelid primer also maximizes the colors applied to the eyelid area, while also extending the wearability. It makes the area look less greasy by keeping oil off. It’s lightweight, sheer, and has an ultra-gentle formula that makes it stay longer.
Estee Lauder New Advanced Night Repair Eye Supercharged Complex Synchronized Recovery ($12.40) The supercharged complex treatment helps repair visible signs showing lack of sleep, pollution, UV, and even blue light via 10x Concentrated Repair Technology. It improves the look by eliminating puffiness, lines, and even dryness.
It also contains hyaluronic acid that hydrates the eye area for 24 hours, while its 8-hour anti-oxidant power prevents free radical damage. You can use it night or day to maintain clean skin around the eye area.
Philosophy New Purity Eye Gel ($4.80) To complete my eye regimen, I also got this hydra-bounce eye gel which helps improve dark circles, puffiness, and eye bags. The product is also good for all skin types and is suited even for contact lens wearers. So soothing!
Macy’s always got the box full to the brim! And I love how almost everything fits in the included pouch.
The part of my face where signs of aging and even lack of rest and sleep are most evident is around the eye area so it’s great to treat it with extra care and love. I’m happy with how Macy’s prioritized that aspect by curating this box. I love the eye makeup they included, however, I just wished they even included a neutral eyeshadow palette for added colors. The eye gel and the night repair eye cream areg greatand great for eye area skin care. I like the Eternity for Men and I can give it to someone else, so as the CK Women but for a different reason, I cannot use it for myself as the scent just isn’t for me. I also like how this box provides different types of pouches that fit the month’s theme well and can almost contain all the products. The retail price of the box is about $52.20, and it’s a good deal for a $15 box, but I wish they’d get more consistent with that coupon code!
