This month’s poster features an amazing art from Dungeons & Dragons.
The theme for August 2018 Loot Gaming Box is MEDIEVAL. The flip side of the poster has the details on all the items.
The Dark Souls item was not included in this box, and here’s the note from Team Loot Gaming explaining the delay. Except that… the delay on this item is kind of inexplicable, as the box arrived in October, even after our September box!
Everything in the August 2018 box!
Medieval Pin. Coats of arms, family crests, and seals are important in the medieval times as they are used as important identifiers. This month’s pin is based on actual medieval crest and coat of arms, but made more fun with other gaming symbols!
It is a one-post pin with a gold fastener. Even colors are symbolic in medieval times. For gold, it symbolizes generosity and elevation of the mind.
This really looks fun and classy at the same time. It features some symbols from the medieval era, and some are from based on the current technology. One noticeable symbol is the power button at the center of the pin! Can you identify the others?
Dark Souls 8-Bit Pin Set. It’s sad that the item was not included in the box, as there was a manufacturing delay. We’re still excited about it nonetheless!
D&D Red Dragon T-Shirt. Red shirts really do make a statement, like this D&D shirt featuring a fierce dragon from the game!
Aside from the fact that the material is fantastic, I also love how they situated the print on the shirt. The colors also go well together. I love the Dragons detail too, which you can all see despite it printed on white! Another winning D&D item from Loot Crate!
The next item comes protectively bagged and tagged as an official licensed product!
God Of War Art Print. It’s a 7″ x10″ art print that features the father-and-son tandem of Kratos and Atreus.
The print is high-quality, the colors were brilliant, and it celebrates Kratos’ new beginning as a good father after being the God of War. Just remember, he won’t think twice to go back to his medieval self if ever trouble arises with his son! This is what I would have expect from the God of War crate (see our review, box still available!), but I was happy to see it regardless!
Skyrim Dovahkiin Helmet Replica. Finally! The item I am most excited about in this box, and it’s from the action role-playing video game, Skyrim!
The Dovahkiin helmet, or also known as the Dragonborn helmet, is an iron helmet which is also a part of a whole iron armor. The Dovahkiin is the player’s character and the protagonist in the game.
The helmet is gorgeously detailed, which gives me the medieval-era feels!
For iron helmets, the horns can actually tell the gender of the wearer. For slightly short-horned ones that are slightly curved inwards, the helmet indicates that the wearer is a male. While for females, the horns are more curved and are turning upwards. Looking at the horns of this helmet, it means that a male owns this one.
The items in this month’s Loot Gaming box are wonderfully put together. Old metal really has that action-packed appeal to me! For this box, I am most excited about the Dovahkiin helmet, which is a perfect desk centerpiece and will also look good on collection shelves! I hope the delayed items come soon though!
