Everything in the October 2018 Birchbox Curated Box!

Ittsē Pearly Eyeshadow in Metamorphosis ($7.50) The pearlized taupe eyeshadow is versatile when it comes to pairing with looks.  It has a buildable color that enhances the eyes with subtle shimmer. It adds definition to the eyes giving you a long-lasting everyday wear that is cruelty-free.

The pod is magnetic and can be placed in a customized palette system which lets you mix and match colors or shadows even from other brands. The package must have endured a lot because it came out cracked. Thank goodness the crack wasn’t in the middle and didn’t ruin the whole pod.

R+Co ACID WASH ACV Cleansing Rinse ($5.33) It’s a detoxifying pre-shampoo treatment that purifies the hair before washing it using the natural exfoliating powers of apple cider vinegar extract and double cleansing with tamanu seed oil and aloe vera leaf juice that provide moisture, soothe the scalp and promotes healthy hair. Just wet the hair in the shower and squeeze the bottle tip directly to the scalp and leave it in for a minute or three and then rinse. You can also use this as the shampoo if you prefer. My scalp feels so refreshed!

Sand & Sky Australian Pink Clay Flash Perfection Exfoliating Treatment ($15.08) Cleanse the skin and apply this while skin is still moist. Avoid the eye area and massage into skin. The pink clay will turn to white as it stays until 5 minutes to the face and can be used up to 3 times per week. It will detoxify, nourish and brighten your skin. The Australian pink clay and AHA-rich fruit extracts pull impurities to the surface and clear the rough patches away.

Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin™ Cream ($4.82) It boosts the natural the skin’s ability to retain moisture and be strengthened. After cleansing, apply a thin layer of cream to face and neck. It has 5-cera complex and hyaluronic acid that prevents skin from drying and skin getting irritated. It’s paraben -free, phthalate-free and sulfate-free. This is my holy grail, and is my original must-have-it item that I discovered via Birchbox! Perfect for dry skin like mine!

Laura Geller Nude Kisses Lip Hugging Lip Gloss in Blushing Shimmer ($8.40) It’s a hydrating lip gloss that has sheer to medium coverage but never sticky. It creates an appearance of fuller lips and has vitamins a,c and e and blend of lip conditioners. The formula is free of alcohol, gluten, mineral oil, parabens, and soy.

It was very sticky, maybe some of the product leaked and it melted the sticker’s adhesive.

It took a messy turn!

The samples were effective in their own right. It’s just that this month’s presentation has not been on par.  Birchbox ended up shipping out a replacement ASAP and I can’t say I’m sad to have doubles of the mask & my one-and-only Ceramidin Cream from Dr. Jart+! It’s great customer service, but would have been better if that gloss hadn’t made its way into my box! I felt like I had been delivered a trick instead of a treat – happy Halloween!
