This is a review of a regular, non-curated box.

It’s Birchbox’s 8th anniversary!

The information card gives brief details on each item as well as the price if you were to buy the full size.

You can visit Birchbox.com/MyBox to easily see the details of your box, which I recommend because sometimes they have videos on the item product pages which I find useful.

Everything in my September box!

Hero Cosmetics Mighty Patch ($2.16) This circular patch is useful for eliminating blemishes. It’s made from hydrocolloid that is drug-free, cruelty-free, and vegan-friendly too.

This comes in handy for those who break out in pimples unexpectedly. It’s not really noticeable when worn. For best results, clean the blemish first and then apply Mighty Patch. You can take the patch off after 6 hours, or when it turns white. My daughter has been using these and they work great!

Air Repair Protect + Prevent Hydrating Serum ($3.64) Packed with hyaluronic acid and cloudberry seed oil, this serum helps enhance the amount of moisture in the skin. This is a huge relief for me, as my skin tends to dry out. It leaves a radiant and smooth base and protects skin in harsh climates too. All you need is 1-3 pumps and you’re good to go. The formula is also cruelty-free, paraben-free, petroleum-free, mineral oil-free, and vegan.

Ittsé Eyeshadow Magnetic Single In Metamorphosis ($9) It’s a single eyeshadow with a rich, bronze base color and a metallic sheen.

I like its warm color that seems to give my lids that extra edge. It’s highly-blendable and long-wearing too.

It’s also cruelty-free! Since the container is magnetic, you can easily slip it in a case too.

Kiehl’s Calendula Deep Cleansing Foaming Face Wash ($5.20) Calendula, which comes from Marigold flower, is known for its soothing and anti-inflammatory properties. It is present in this face wash formula, together with glycerin that helps retain moisture and softens skin. The texture is like a creamy gel which turns into a dense foam when mixed with water. It removes impurities but I found this formula to be a little stripping.

Oribe Mystify Restyling Spray ($8.67) This restyling spray harnesses the nourishing properties of avocado oil to refresh your hairstyle and make sure that it looks as perfect as the day before. It also contains glycerin and panthenol that hydrates the hair strands while protecting it from breakage.

Another key ingredient is the Thermal Protection Blend, which shields your hair against damage from heat styling. It feels light on the hair instead of weighing it down. It doesn’t feel sticky or irritating.

Right from the start, I was blown away by the contents of this month’s box! I love Mighty Patch because it reduces the appearance of blemishes on my skin and adds extra confidence to my day. The hydrating serum and the deep cleansing face wash are both impressive and worth adding to my skincare routine. I liked the eyeshadow too, because its warm color is perfect for the upcoming fall season. On days when I need to retain my hair styling, the spray will come in handy. Everything is useful to me, so this box is pretty much a win! At almost $29 value this is a great deal for a $10 beauty box!

Same box I got. At first I wasn’t excited, but I do like everything. Wish the air repair sample was bigger
