Send Me Some Joe is a monthly subscription of high-quality coffee for the discerning individual. Subscribers can choose the kind of coffee they want to receive, and there are over 40 coffee blends to choose from (ground and whole bean). You can subscribe to the bi-weekly subscription for $14.00 or monthly at $20.00. Bi-weekly subscriptions are shipped during the 1st and 15th of the month, while monthly subscriptions are shipped every 4th of the month. This subscription box does more than just provide you with quality coffee from all over the world, but you’ll also get to help local charities as well. $3 per month from your coffee subscription will be donated to local causes in the United States.

Though the contents aren’t fragile, they still take care in covering the goodies inside.

There was a thank you note from the founders of Send Me Some Joe!

This month’s charity cause was Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central PA.

There is a little something extra in our box!

They even threw in several Hershey’s Kisses because they are located near the factory!

Everything in my box!

St. Thomas Roasters Honduras Fair Trade Organic ($8 each) Inside the box are two bags of quality coffee beans. This is a nice choice for those who prefer espresso in the morning, since it is relatively mild and concentrates well without developing any bitterness.

From the color of the beans, you’ll see that they were roasted to perfection. It was good to see a high level of consistency — both bags had the same medium roast.

St. Thomas Roasters is all about delivering high-quality coffee beans from all over the country. The Honduras Fair Trade Organic is a superior coffee bean with a gorgeous color and aroma.

It has a lovely, balanced flavor, and it makes for a great every morning cup.

I like the character of this coffee — it makes for a great utility player that has enough punch for a morning cup, some nuance that makes it appropriate for a late day sip or icing, and it has a mild enough bitterness that it makes a superb espresso.

Honduras Fair Trade Organic has a lightly fruity taste layered upon a gently roasty chocolate base, all enlivened with a touch of sweetness.

It’s a perfect go to coffee for a crowd — it has qualities that will please both gourmands and donut shop denizens!

Send Me Some Joe’s September box brought me a versatile coffee that gently hits all the right notes. I make a pretty concentrated Aeropress cup every morning, and I find this coffee makes a cup that remains mild and drinkable, even at espresso strength. I love getting whole beans, too, since it means my coffee retains its flavor and is fresh for every cup I make!
