Loot Crate DX is a deluxe monthly subscription box from Loot Crate. It’s themed with the regular Loot Crate theme, except it contains premium next level loot for discerning geeks! It’s like a special edition box from Loot Crate – every month!

The August 2018 Box was delayed.

DEAL: Save 15% on any subscription when you use this link and coupon code HELLOSUBSCRIPTION15.

The box comes with a tri-fold booklet.

The theme this month is MAYHEM DX!

The booklet gives you a list of all the items in the box. It’s super sturdy and has a nice premium feel.

Chaos? Disorder? Well, if this is what it means, I mean the contents of the box, it’s totally fine!

Chill Out Pin. This month’s featured pin is a yummy ice cream cone pin! You can get this in one of the three available variants: pitch black, cool blue, and orange sorbet.

I got the cool blue pin. The color really says “chill” and forget about the mayhem that’s happening around! I guess you could say it’s a Mr. Freeze reference, but it seems too bland for that. I wouldn’t be surprised to find this in basically any other box, which is not something you want from DX.

The Joker Short Sleeve Raglan. This shirt may feature one of Batman’s well-known antagonists, but I can’t deny the fact that it looks really cool!

Comic fans are sure familiar with the design as it is an image from one of his calling cards in the comics. The Haha SFX added character to this short black and gray raglan!

Joker Socks. Aside from the shirt, Joker also graces another wearable in this box!

As it says on the tag, it’s designed by fans for fans! These crew socks are made with 98% polyester and 2% spandex. It fits shoe size 8-12.

The socks feature Joker’s iconic and somehow scary crazy smile!

What else can you expect from one of the craziest yet best antagonists in DC! I love the quality of this print, it’s really impressive!

These socks are not just geeky, they’re super comfy too!

The Walking Dead: The Official Cookbook and Survival Guide ($18.57)

Based on the hit AMC television series, this cookbook is packed with life-saving tips and unique recipes inspired by The Walking Dead.

The Walking Dead: The Official Cookbook and Survival Guide details the skills and recipes you need to survive (while avoiding being eaten) during a walker apocalypse. Inspired by the hit AMC television series, the book features recipes for meals featured on the show, plus food and drinks inspired by key characters and locations, along with expert information on foraging, hunting wild game, and outdoor cooking. Featuring familiar treats like Carl’s pudding, Carol Peletier’s baked goods, and Hershel’s spaghetti, this is the ultimate gift for fans and walker-wary survivalists alike.

You can now prepare a feast for your fellow survivors using this cookbook. It also lets you know what else to do in order to survive in the post-apocalyptic world!

Care for some Squirrel Piquante? The piquante is a really versatile Cajun sauce that can make even the hardest meats fork-tender, like the squirrel used in this recipe. Well, if you don’t like any other meat (and since we’re not in the post-apocalyptic times), chicken is fine.

There are even photos to accompany the useful info!

Aside from basic survival guides, the book contains easy and yummy recipes for sweets, beverages, and even food preservation!

Keep your food for the longest time with these useful tips on how to preserve them! There are a lot of options like air-drying, curing, jamming, and a whole lot more!

Also, the recipes names are related to the show, so the book will most likely be appealing to fans! This book also proves that even at the time where food is scarce, you can still enjoy a good drink. I believe this Walker (that’s in the picture) is one that you won’t be running away from!

Rick and Morty Portal Picnic Blanket. Completing the Mayhem-themed box is this picnic blanket featuring Rick and Morty!

At first, it looks like a pencil case with a flap and velcro enclosure. Turns out, they just made it really handy, a carrying strap is included as well.

The “portal” opens up to everyone during picnics. It’s water-resistant too. And giant! This is super durable and if you were skeptical from the spoilers like we were, this is definitely a DX item!

The Mayhem Loot Crate DX box is great! The Joker socks are phenomenal! I love how high-quality it looks, especially the gorgeous print. The shirt is another favorite too. I agree that Joker is one of the coolest villains, and the wearables this month perfectly shows that character of his. The cookbook is another fun addition to my cookbook shelf, and I am also trying some of the recipes, especially the beverages and sweets. The Rick and Morty picnic blanket is a good one too as most picnic blankets that I have aren’t water-resistant, and I’m so glad to finally have one without worries about getting them wet or stained. The pin was kind of a dud – it didn’t really seem to fit the theme or be a DX item, but otherwise I was fairly happy with the box.
