Ipsy is a monthly beauty subscription. Get five makeup, beauty, skincare, and hair care items in a cute bag for $10 a month! It’s the most popular subscription box and a great way to sample new colors and beauty brands.

The August Glam Bag features a simple but chic black pouch!

This month’s theme is Who Is Going To Stop Me!

The back of the card includes a list of the items this month.

The September Glam Bag is in black and gold pouch featuring white lashes design.

There’s a caption inside the pouch that says “Rules were made to be broken.” I love the cute gold Ipsy zipper too!

Everything in my September bag!

There are many bag variations every month for Ipsy – login to your account to check out how-to videos and tips for your products. They’ve also started emailing out product information and tips from their influencers!

Luxie Beauty Harley Quinn Detail Flat Definer 110.  It’s a kickass collaboration between Warner Brothers and Luxie Beauty! It makes way for an airbrushed finish because the soft and smooth bristles can blend your makeup effectively. It can evenly buff out liquid, cream and powder formulas effortlessly. It picks just the right amount of product and can be an effective tool for getting a sheer finish. You can even use this for applying concealer. Just use circular motions to blend.

TrèStique Mini Lip Glaze in English Rose ($10) English Rose is a pretty sheer purply mauve lip color. It has hydrating properties and also glides on the lips like butter.

This lip crayon is free of synthetic fragrances, D5, petrochemicals, and parabens. It’s vibrant and also stays long on the lips.

Hanalei Matte Bronzer ($9.99) This is a pigmented bronzer that gives a sunkissed glow in seconds! It is smooth and buildable that can be applied to warm up the complexion or as a contour to define the features. It is cruelty-free and paraben-free just like all Hanalei products. It has kukui nut oil that is rich in fatty acids and vitamins that moisturizes the skin.

To use, apply this on the spots where the sun usually hits your face. Apply it across the hairline, temples, bridge of the nose, hollows of the cheeks, chin, collarbone and can even work as a base for eyeshadow if you want.

It can be removed from its plastic mold and added to your customized palette. Fab matte bronzer!

Lord & Berry Line/Shade Eye Pencil in Flash Purple ($2.37) If you want to attract attention to your eyes, this bold eyeliner will do the trick for you! It is easy and comfortable to apply because it’s smooth and creamy. It is long lasting and does not cake or streak if you smudge it to make as a smokey shadow. The wooden pencil has a round barrel for easier grip. I was thrilled with the FUN shade and the formula was creamy & smooth!

Apto Healing Turmeric Mask ($8) Makeup will be easier to apply if we have clear skin. This lightweight mask detoxifies and clear pores effectively with its powerful naturally disinfecting bactericides, turmeric and neem. It is healthy and suitable for any skin type because it treats blemishes and flare-ups and preventing breakouts. It also has Azelaic acid that removes dead skin cells and Colloidal sulfur that absorbs excess oil. You can apply this to the whole face or just focus on the problematic areas.

These are the pigmented swatches for the Mini Lip Glaze English Rose, Lorde & Berry Lip Liner/Shade, and Hanalei bronzer. I love them all!

The Ipsy theme for this month wants us to break the rules and smash the things that were expected of us. They want us to break out of our shell and truly go all out in expressing ourselves. It was apt that they chose bold colors for our eye pencil and lip glaze. They make sure we get our sharp contours on point and gave us a Harley Quinn brush to keep us crazy inspired. For skin care, they opted for a more unconventional but healthy and effective Turmeric mask. For $10, they gave us almost $50 worth of products (including that unique black pouch)!
