The Game of Thrones Box is a quarterly subscription from CultureFly that delivers licensed Game of Thrones collectibles, apparel, accessories, and more! This box is priced at $49.99 per quarter, a bit less on an annual subscription.
I love the look of the box itself — the lid is covered in intricate versions of the house sigils.
The back has a portion of the map of Westeros!
This month’s theme is NOBLE FEAST OF WESTEROS!
We are greeted with the items in the box upon opening! There’s no extra packaging.
The information card has the same cool graphic as the box lid.
Flip the card and you’ll see the illustrations of the items in the box. Looking at these totally got me in a reminiscent mood as I imagine where the inspirations came from. Many are drawn from specific moments in the series.
Everything in my box!
Longclaw Stainless Steel Spatula. This handy grilling tool looks just like the ancestral weapon of the House of Mormont, given to Jon Snow by Jeor Mormont. It is not made of actual Valyrian steel, but it’ll flip burgers like no one’s business.
The hilt and pommel are designed to look just like Longclaw, post dire wolf makeover. Sorry Jorah, you’ll have to get your own.
If you look at this closely at this spatula, it is a really good replica of the Longclaw you see in the series. The pommel resembles Jon Snow’s direwolf, Ghost, with its matching red eyes.
Hand Of The Queen Bottle Koozie. That line instantly became popular the moment Tyrion Lannister uttered it.
That’s what I do. I drink and I know things.
It has a zipper closure. It is well made and can fit a regular bottle of beer. You can avoid freezing your fingers now, as the bottle koozie saves the day.
This is the zipper symbol for the Hand of the Queen, befitting a collectible all about Tyrion.
It is a well thought of collectible exclusively made for this box. All the boring stuff is on the back.
House Stark Sigil Reusable Hot/Cold Pack. This is a useful item for any household. Usable as either a hot or cold pack, it features the direwolf sigil of House Stark.
The instructions for use is printed at the back of the card.
It’s perfect for treating minor bumps and aches. It is reusable and makes a perfect partner for the Targaryen pack sent in a previous box!
Dragonglass Silicone Mold. This is a very intelligent reference. Because once you have molded ice in here it will totally look like a dragon glass.
I don’t know if I’d go after any actual white walkers with these, but they will look really fantastic standing up in a highball glass. You can also use it as a Jello mold, and I bet you could make wicked looking shards with some black Jello. The silicone mold is food-safe, BPA free, and dishwasher safe.
It has 4 molds, letting you make spear tips that resemble the small and large sizes of the dragon glass dagger.
Night King Vinyl Bust. Well, this is just spooky and fits for Halloween. The night king doesn’t look like a very warm fellow.
The vinyl bust bears a perfect resemblance to leader of the white walkers in the series. The armor is great, and the blue eyes are intense.
The Game of Thrones logo is placed at the back base of the Vinyl Bust, giving the front a cleaner look.
The face has airbrushed contours to give it an even more dramatic appearance.
I Drink And I Know Things Pint Glass. Well, you can’t give reference to having a feast and Tyrion without a glass.
The goblet is Tyrion’s best friend. When others fail him, he will cling to it like it will save him from white walkers. This pint glass captures the spirit of a goblet in it’s clever word art design.
House Lannister Banner Pin. This pin belongs to the 4-pin subscribers exclusive series featuring four noble houses of Westeros.
This is number 3 of 4.
It has 3 rubber backing to evenly distribute the weight of the pin when attached to fabric, making sure it stays upright.
The enamel pin has good detail. I can’t wait to have them all. I hope they extend this series and do another set so we could have pins for all the major house, but at least with the four pin set, we can complete it with our year of quarterly boxes.
House Stark Grill Or Die Apron. This apron takes a few liberties with this quote. I believe it is Cersei who delivers the “You win or you die” line in the series. Somehow, however, I can’t see her manning a grill — that is, unless there is a pretender to the throne strapped to it.
It has a great length and I like that it’s black, because the stains will not be noticeable. The House Stark Sigil and the caption in white are in full contrast with the black apron, so it’s really attention-grabbing.
Up close, the embroidery patch of the sigil of House Stark is super detailed. It sits on a chest pocket.
The apron has a lot of pockets! It has the chest pocket, a hand-warmer style pocket, and bandeoier style pockets to hold your grilling utensils. It’s like armor for cookouts or family gatherings.
I love the items from this box because they connected the Game of Thrones reference wittingly into objects that can be used in everyday life. The subscription is full of great gear and mementos, so we will remember some of the greatest moments from the show, even after the final season airs. The Noble Feast of Westeros is a fun theme and a great way to provide some items that will be used often and not just displayed. They gave a nod to a few characters in this box, but mostly to Tyrion Lannister. Jon Snow is a runner-up. I think this box is a hit! I hope they make a box with references to the female characters as well. I look forward to being amazed by the next box!
