This box is packed with a lot of Japanese treats!

The magazine is back by popular demand!

This month’s theme is FRUITY NINJAS!

Here are the items we should be expecting for this month’s curation.

This page of the magazine features Coca-Cola Clear and DIY Melon Jelly Drink.

Discover Japan page gives a brief information about popular Japanese fruits!

Fruits can be a luxury item in Japan and we’re in luck because they are giving us these fruity snacks and giving us a glimpse of their precious produce there.

There was no Kinoko No Yama Chocolate Banana in the pack as indicated in their Snack Menu but they gave us this Pocky treat as a crunchy substitute.

Everything inside the box!

Coca-Cola Clear. I’m very curious about this Clear Coca-Cola so when I received this in the box I was excited to try it out. Stealthy like a ninja, don’t be deceived by the clear looks at it is a refreshing lemon flavor that is perfect to quench the summer heat thirst. It’s the newest variation from Coca-Cola and it features a zero calorie soda formula.

Melon Bread Cookies Party Pack. It’s a party pack indeed as they generously gave us two flavors: the original crunchy sweet cookies and the other which is filled with custard cream. The inspiration of these cookies is the melon pan that is a popular food in Japan. A little odd but good!

Pocky Lemon Sticks. This snack is a substitute product for the Chocolate Banana. The lemon sticks are thicker than the usual Pocky sticks and have a creamier and more generous coating too!

Disney Tsum Tsum Chocolate Bar. The cute packaging features different Tsum Tsum characters. It’s a chocolate wafer snack that has a rich chewy chocolate coating and a crunchy wafer center. It is sweet and satisfying to munch on.

Banana Man Marshmallow. It’s a banana-like marshmallow that is so fluffy and sweet with a balanced taste of chocolate and banana flavor. As you can see, the marshmallows is coated with banana flavor and has a chocolate filled core.

Chip Star Lemon Chips. To create a perfectly rich tangy taste, they sourced real lemons from Setouchi area in Japan for this snack! It’s a sour and savory experience in every bite.

Chocolate Mint Caramel Corn. This puffed corn snack is bursting with flavor! Chocolate mint is a newly released flavor that is a combination of sweet and delicious chocolate with a refreshed cooling mint finish.

Fruit Granola Black Thunder. The Japanese have their own version of granola too! This one’s a triple threat/treat with its fruity taste, crunchiness, and chocolatey coating.

Cheese Rice Puffs. This pack contains light and savory cheese rice puffs that just melts in your mouth after the crunch.

Melon Jelly Drink DIY. We can create a simple and fun melon jelly by simply pouring the powder package into the given bowl, filling it with water and using the straw to stir!

Cinnamon Apple Pie Umaibo. Umaibo is a popular Japanese puffed corn snack and it’s a staple in most Japanese snack boxes. This month, we got it in a cinnamon apple pie variant.  The juicy apple taste with the spicy hint of the cinnamon is such a hit. We are lucky to have tasted this and we want more.

Shimi Corn Share Pack. We also received four individual packs of this puffed corn snack flavored with rich chocolate. Each piece is light, airy, and star-shaped! Totally one of my FAVES and we have nothing like it in the states.

Honey Apple Hard Candy. This one’s a hard candy with a taste of honey apple. It’s not too sweet but enough to help soothe sore throats.

Fruit Donut Gummy. This fruit donut’s taste lived up to its presentation. It’s sweet, tangy, and chewy too.

One of the reasons why I love the subscription is that they keep on giving us unique and interesting treats that are hard to find in stores. All snacks obeyed the fruity theme and I’m really impressed about how creative the Japanese are in making fruity snacks. Sometimes it’s hard to keep track and it’s hard to pick a favorite because they are all delectable and they have so many selections but it’s never a bad thing. It’s always an enjoyable experience to share these snacks with the family. I appreciate that they are all inspired by a popular food in Japan or the snack itself is the hyped one. I look forward to another batch of premium Tokyo treats!
