Every month Target launches non-subscription Target Beauty Boxes. Depending on the contents, they are themed and cost $5-10, and sell out quickly!

This is the review of the July 2018 Target Beauty Box which was $7. It’s now sold out, but August 2018 should be dropping soon!

There were two beauty boxes for July – read the review of the “Rejuvenation” box here.

Voila! All the items wrapped in an orange paper.

Hello Summer Beauty!

The product information card listed the products included in the box and a little info about each item. There’s also a $3 off coupon code valid for beauty purchases of $15 or more, and can be used online or in-store.

That’s a lot of beauty essentials in one box!

Everything in the July Summer Beauty box! This one was labeled on the Target site as multicultural, with frizz-busting products.  I picked up for my tween and teen nieces, who squealed at hair products just for them!

Aunt Jackie’s Don’t Shrink Gel ($0.90) This gel gives dry, shriveled up curls and twists a nice stretch. It has a special blend of moisturizing conditioners such as flaxseed that has Omega-3 fatty acids, shea butter, and extra virgin coconut oil.

Flaxseed has been widely used as a natural remedy for hair growth, anti-thinning, and overall scalp health. Using this product regularly promises to make hair soft without a crunchy and tacky feel. My tween niece has a wash and go style but lots of beautiful natural curls – her mom said this was perfect!

Conair Thick Hair Elastics ($0.58) Securing hair and eliminating thick hair worries is easier with the help of these thick hair elastics that were made of No Damage® material.

These are ideal for even the most unmanageable hair, as it twists and holds your hair for just the right look, or whatever you fancy. They’re so comfortable to use too.

No more snags and pulls! Also, they can be easily kept inside purses or even pockets for emergency hair needs!

Secret Clinical Soft Liquid & Fresh Deodorant ($2.31) The weather is making me all sweaty so it’s just perfect that they also included this dye- and paraben-free soft solid deodorant. Also, this light and fresh deodorant has an “Adapts & Responds” technology that gives 4X protection from stress sweat. It absorbs odor while releasing a scent that keeps me smelling clean and feeling fresh and dry all day.

I kept this one for moi!

Shea Moisture 100% Virgin Coconut Oil Leave-In Conditioner ($4.12) While this one is perfect for all hair types, it softens hair and improves styling manageability. The conditioner is lightweight, milky, and made with extra virgin coconut oil and shea oil, plus coconut milk and Acacia Senegal.

It has a restorative formula that re-hydrates hair, detangles and acts as a barrier against heat while reducing frizz and leaving hair wrapped in a light coastal coconut breeze. It smells amazeballs but the nieces said it was fab!

Cantu Leave-In Conditioning Cream ($0.81) Phthalate-, sulfate- and paraben-free, this cream makes the hair stronger, softer and healthier with the help of shea butter.

It has a gentle formula that is good for wavy, curly or coarse hair and makes it more manageable for easier styling. Using it every day promises to make your hair look softer and healthier with fewer breakages and split ends. It definitely made some curls shine our way!

Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula Shampoo ($0.58) This shampoo’s purpose is to clean and hydrate your hair with natural coconut, monoi, and vitamin E oils. It removes buildup caused by styling products without stripping hair or dulling color. The formula is creamy and moisturizing, making it great for dry, damaged or color-treated hair.

Palmer’s Coconut Oil Repairing Conditioner ($0.92) To pair up with the shampoo, we also got this conditioner with a rich, creamy formula. It instantly detangles and coats strands for silkier, shinier, and easier to manage hair. We especially loved the Palmer’s products for our younger niece because it’s paraben free!

Multicultural tresses can be thick, curly and need good management and this box achieved some serious frizz-busting and curl creation. While the hair products were intended for her use, I get to keep the deodorant for myself. This box is a good deal as it includes lots of good and high-quality products with a retail price of $10.22 but mostly it was an excellent way for the girls to try out some hair products just for them.
