SnarkBox sends a monthly box of sassy cross stitching projects so you can stitch in b*tchy style. Expect sarcasm and cocky sayings in each of the boxes – these aren’t your grandmother’s craft projects! (Unless your grandmother was saucy, you never know.) SnarkBox donates 5% of all proceeds to Lil Bubs BIG Fund for the ASPCA.

Both levels of SnarkBox come with an original cross stitch kit and an original printed cross stitch pattern by MyCatHatesYouShop. They also both come with a sticker featuring one of the MyCatHatesYouShop cross stitch designs, or a similar original design. The Total Smart Ass SnarkBox also includes a small cross stitch gift or accessory (such as a needle minder or small project) and an embroidery hoop, backing felt, and finishing instructions for the included kit.

I am reviewing the Total Smart Ass SnarkBox today! (The other version is called the Basic Bitch!)

The box was pretty cool on the outside, go back a picture and check out the crossed needles! I found my items wrapped in tissue paper and sealed with a sticker.

The sticker had the logo on it, the month, and the subscription level.

All of my items were safe in the box!

I found a business card in the box. I also found a note about the pattern and how you may use it for yourself, just don’t copy it and try to sell it or mass produce the projects and sell those either.

I received a sticker, which is based on one of SnarkBox’s patterns.

The Total Smart Ass Box comes with a bonus gift. This month it was a SnarkBox Thread/Ort Catcher.

The product was already assembled. I had never heard of the word “ort” but it’s just another word for scraps, like the little pieces of thread that you cut off when sewing. The inside fabric was hot pink.

The outside had SnarkBox’s logo fabric!

The original pattern (without threads etc.) this month was the MCHY Bye Felicia Counted Cross Stitch Pattern ($6). All SnarkBox patterns are exclusive for the first month, and are only added to the Etsy shop after the next month’s box is launched, so no link yet! The pattern lists which colors you need to purchase of DMC floss and includes the pattern and instructions.

The featured kit this month is the MCHY Stay Salty Counted Cross Stitch Pattern ($16-18). I couldn’t find this on the Etsy site either, but if you are dying to get your hands on this kit or the previously shown pattern then hang tight because SnarkBox usually offers past boxes for sale on their website.

The kit includes Aida cloth, DMC floss, a needle, and instructions to complete the project.

Here’s what the pattern looks like up close. This month’s project has not only classic cross stitching but also French knots and backstitching.

This is as far as I have finished this month. I would say this probably is about two hours of work, since I usually work for about 30 minutes at a time. I count, recount, count some more, wait, did I count already? So it takes me a while to finish one project, this could take months!

The Total Smart Ass Box includes a bonus for your finished project. This month it is an MCHY Tote Bag. It came with instructions to turn your project into a tote bag.

I think this month’s design will look amazing on this deep navy blue tote!

SnarkBox sends saucy cross stitch kits and I like that everything is included to complete a whole project each month. I would suggest this subscription to anyone who loves to stitch. It takes me a long time to complete a project with so many demands on my time but to sit and kind of block everything else out for a while is kind of therapeutic. Buying thread for a second project isn’t too expensive so if you have more than one crafter in the house you can easily grab the stuff they need to work alongside you (or gift to a friend). I just started August’s project and hopefully will see more progress this month.

FYI – the single month price for this subscription is changing on 9/1!   Subscription orders placed before the price change goes into effect on September 1st, 2018 will continue to renew at the introductory prices for the immediate future.
