Papirmass is a monthly art print subscription. Each month, you’ll get an art print to satisfy your art and cultural curiosity – delivered right to your doorstep. You’ll never have trouble adding a new art print for your collection since Papirmass is the perfect way to discover new and upcoming great artists. It ships worldwide (with free shipping!) from Canada.

The prints are wrapped in custom-printed rigid mailers perfect to protect the print from awful weather. There’s also an invitation to share your personalized print display on social media.

This month’s artist is Marissa Johnson from Detroit. She states that her creative process starts by scribbling ideas in a sketchbook and yoga is part of the routine that gets her creative juices flowing. I think Marissa and I could be friends, from her profile she sounds very down to earth and friendly.

This month’s piece is called Bloom. Marissa was inspired by the cycles of nature, the forces of death and renewal. I cannot get behind the snake in the middle of this piece because in any shape or form they scare the crud out of me. I like the flowers and how they pop on the black background. I just wish my mail handler could read and not have bent this by putting it in the mailbox.

On the backside are suggestions for displaying your new art. There are also questions to help with art appreciation. I love these little details because I feel like I have a much better idea of how to get the most from my art.

It’s time to start something new and trust the magic of beginnings.

~Meister Eckhart

Yet another great quote reminding me that standing still will not lead to great new beginnings. This will be put on my daughter’s door so she knows to start every day new and there is magic in every day. It just baffles me how Papirmass knows what quotes I need in my life and when.

On the flip side is a creative card. Let your imagination run wild with the lines provided. If I had any artistic ability I would turn it into flowers, but I don’t have any so I will let it be my husband’s project. I am enjoying these creative cards because they normally force me out of my box and let my creativity run wild.

Papirmass brings new artists and their best pieces to my door every month. This one was great for someone else, perhaps someone who isn’t scared of snakes, but I can still appreciate the piece. Papirmass is a great surprise every month, my family and I enjoy great conversations with these artists and their incredible work. I can’t wait to see what next month brings to my door.
