nmnl is a monthly Japanese beauty subscription box by the brains behind Tokyo Treat and Yume Twins. They promise to deliver a Japanese beauty experience curated by people familiar with the current trends in Japan.

DEAL: Use coupon code HELLOSUBS at checkout to save 10% ($3.50) on your first box!

The information booklet has information about the products. The booklet has gotten much more in-depth lately, but I still am hoping they begin to include English ingredient lists for the makeup and skincare products.

Foot Peel Pack ($6.56) — These peeling foot packs are always fun, though sometimes the results are more satisfying than others. Basically these are plastic socks filled with fruit acids that exfoliate the dead skin. In 2-4 days, you’ll start to shed your skin like a snake. It’s both gross and incredibly satisfying to peel huge pieces of skin off — okay, I’ll stop.

Ingredients: water, ethanol, lactic acid, glycolic acid, glycerin, hydroxyethyl cellulose, BG, arginine, PEG-60 hydrogenated castor oil, salicylic acid, betaine, urea, Na hyaluronate, algaia spinosa nucleus oil, macadamia nut oil, tocopherol acetate, Sage leaf extract, Lavender extract, Oriental leaf extract, Olive leaf extract, Acerola extract, Kiwi extract, Banana fruit extract, Honeysuckle flower extract, Shakuyaku root extract, Clara extract, Scutellaria root extract, peach leaf extract, chaebacter extract, ginkgo biloba extract, Rosemary leaf extract, Kuko fruit extract, soybean extract, Assembly extract, Makomubu extract, EDTA-2Na, phenoxyethanol, methyl paraben, propyl paraben, fragrance

Mutenka Foam Cleanser ($2.49 for similar) — A bouncy foam cleanser for your face. Foaming cleansers tend to have a high pH which isn’t good for your skin, so I’ll have to test this one as I do with all my cleansers. I wasn’t able to find any detailed info or ingredients on this product, but in a pinch you can use the Google Translate app to take a photo of text and it will give you a rough translation!

Cuticle Bubble Pack ($9.46) — This has nothing to do with nails, and is actually a blackhead/pore cleaning exfoliate for your nose. It has citrus extracts which help remove dead skin and unclog pores. The pump packaging is so tiny, but a little goes a long way.

Lemon Bath Salts ($3.80) — Two packets of bath salts with Setouchi lemon essential oil from Hiroshima. I like that there are two packets included!

Koji Angelite U Liquid Liner ($11.59) — Koji is a brand I love, and they produce the adorable Dolly Wink line! This liner is actually brown which is great, and the tip is super fine.

Here’s the cute packaging!

The colour is pigmented and the line is very fine.

nmnl did a very solid box for August. I’m most excited about the bath salts, foot mask, and eyeliner. There’s something for every part of the body this month.
