Birchbox is a beauty sampling subscription service that sends 5 new items each month so you can try before you buy. Birchbox is $10 a month and you can choose a monthly sample during selection time, let Birchbox decide, or pick a pre-curated box.

DEAL:For a limited time use coupon code GETKLORANE to get a FREE Klorane Dry Shampoo with a 3-Month Birchbox Subscription !

This is a review of a regular, non-curated box.

The theme is Snapshots From Summer!

The information card gives brief details on each item as well as the price if you were to buy the full size.

You can visit Birchbox.com/MyBox to easily see the details of your box, which I recommend because sometimes they have videos on the item product pages which I find useful.

Everything in my August box!

Vasanti Makeup Magnet Wipes ($4) I am impressed with these wipes because they are soaked in micellar water that removes dirt and makeup from my skin. The packaging is compact, making it easy to bring with me wherever I go. It does save my skin from looking dull and dry every time I wipe my face with them.

Love of Color One & Done Shadow Stick in Champagne Problems ($10) This paraben-free shadow stick eliminates the need for multiple brushes, primers, and blenders because it does everything for you. You just have to apply it to your lids and blend for a soft and smoky look. If you want to create a precise line, you can leave it as is. I got it in Champagne Problems, which is a silvery taupe shade. It glides on easily and it stays quite a long time too.

Amika Phantom Hydrating Dry Shampoo Foam ($3.53) Ideal for all hair types, this dry shampoo foam cleanses your hair and absorbs dirt and oil while hydrating and nourishing the strands. It’s pretty lightweight and it doesn’t leave any residue. The formula is infused with sea buckthorn berry, leaving your scalp and hair refreshed. It doesn’t contain any paraben, phthalate, gluten, and parabens too. It worked great for my superfine hair and was a perfect profile match!

Oribe Featherbalm Weightless Styler ($6.17) It’s weightless styler, ideal for those who have fine hair and those who want to add more volume to their mane. It also hydrates hair while holding any blowouts or finished styles that you want to keep for hours. The formula includes acai fruit oil, hydrolyzed pea protein, a polymer complex, passion fruit seed oil, and rice bran oil. These ingredients help protect against UV and heat damage, as well as in untangling knots. Another win for my profile!

Winky Lux Disco Gloss in Far Out ($5) This disco gloss is something new for my lips because of its cosmic glitter content that changes color. It’s perfect to use for partying or for making a statement with your lips.

I got it in Far Out, which is purplish blue and shimmery when seen from the bottle.

Here are the swatches! On top is the lip gloss, and below it is the shadow stick. I loveeee the Winky Lux – so fun!

The items from this month’s BirchBox focused on hair and makeup. Both of the hair care products suit my fine hair type, while the shadow stick and the lip gloss are ideal for a glammed up look. The wipes are a common item in beauty boxes, but I always find it so useful in making sure I can easily freshen up even when I’m on the go. All in all, this curation is good! A total of $29 in retail value is not bad for a $10 box!
