My items were packed with shredded paper squiggles and eco-friendly paper wrapping. I received 5 products in the June box! I didn’t receive a product info card but did find the info online. It would be helpful to have that included in the box. The theme for June is Coffee & Roses.

June’s Self-Care box is filled with several full-size magickal and plant-based essentials to nourish mom’s body, mind and spirit.

Wilson Coffee Roasting Brazil Cerrado Fazenda Colina Organic Coffee ($3.75) I couldn’t find this particular bean on the Wilson site but their coffees sell for $15 a pound. I’m a tea drinker so I gave this to my daughter, who likes to cold brew coffee to take to work.

Rose Dose Organic Rose Petals ($10.99) is culinary grade and can be used as a tea, for baking, as a facial steam, or in the tub for a relaxing soak (use a cheesecloth bag for easy cleanup).

Just use 1/3 cup of petals and boiling water for a cup of tea. This is caffeine-free and a source of vitamin C.

CocoRoo Total ReJAVAnation Coffee Body Scrub ($17.29) Although I don’t usually drink coffee (except for those Frappucinos, yum!) I do like the smell of coffee and I love coffee scrubs. I appreciate that this product is in an easy-to-use squeeze bottle, which makes it convenient for use in the shower.

Only 5 ingredients go into this natural product – almond oil, Arabica coffee beans, macadamia oil, coconut oil, and natural silica (a type of sand). You can use on the face but I used it on my body and skipped the body lotion afterward.

Gaia’s Garden Bath & Botanica Rose Rescue Elixir ($15) This little bottle is pretty potent! The ingredients are rose petals, brandy, and honey and you can either use it internally (just squeeze a dropperful in your mouth) or apply it directly to bug bites, scratches, or minor burns. It is so nice and warming and sweet and I predict this bottle will be empty very soon.

Rose Joy Soulflower Temporary Tattoos ($5) are made with non-toxic ink and are easy to apply. Soulflower suggests that you start by taking a deep breath and “invite the plant spirit to share its healing energy with you.”

Even the packaging is cute!

The inside of the box has an affirmation and the intentions of this product when used mindfully.

There were three rose tattoos and one of a dandelion seed.

I was pretty happy with my first Sha Mama Rising box! I liked the mind/body/spirit message and the curation was spot on, everything fit the theme nicely. I especially liked the rose elixir and temporary tattoos are cool for summer. I’m not into coffee but it was used up and I appreciate that the rose petals can be used in lots of different ways. The scrub made for a lovely self-care item to use in the shower. My box had a value of around $52.03, which is below their promised value of $70 and even below the price of the subscription, although it would be kind of costly to have these items shipped separately and I wouldn’t have gone looking for these products on my own. This is a new subscription service and I look forward to seeing what they send in future boxes!
