Zanzibar Spiced Coffee. This is seriously the easiest recipe I have ever set eyes on just two little steps. I learned so much about the ceremonies involving coffee in this part of the world and I am floored at how important coffee is to the culture.

Just a half a teaspoon of the spiced coffee blend and six ounces of yummy freshly brewed coffee.

My finished product… it was not my cuppa tea. I am not a spice in my coffee fan and I tried to sweeten it with sugar and milk. This might be the only cup of coffee I have ever dumped out.

Tanzanian Spicy Slaw featuring Piquant Berbere Spice Blend. Six garden fresh veggies with some spices, this sounds like a great summer treat. I can imagine serving this with grilled chicken and baby potatoes. This recipe really excites me because I feel like a one trick pony when it comes to vegetables. I also love that there is no added salt to these spice blends which is heart healthy.

Zanzibar Pilau (Rice Pilaf) with Spiced Pilaf Blend. Pilaf is a Persian dish, which was news to me! Apparently, this dish is supposed to be hearty and often contains nuts, dried fruits, vegetables, spices and even meats. This sounds like it could be made into a one-pan meal. I can’t wait to try this meal and then I want to try turning this into a nice soup.

Fish Coconut Curry featuring Tamarind Curry Blend. There is nothing about this recipe that is appealing to me, I don’t like fish and I really dislike curry. I also don’t think I could convince my family to try this either. I will say if there is only one recipe I’m not willing to try that says a lot about this subscription.

Piquant Post brings amazing recipes and small batch spice packets to my door, it’s amazing. The recipes are all 4 steps or less to make and they are super easy to follow. I love them because I recently started the whole30 diet and these spice mixes are already done for me without sugar. Even my 13-year-old daughter likes to make these recipes. I can’t wait to see what new treats I can make for my family or better yet have my daughter make for me. I also love that these spices now come in great see-through baggies. I feel like such a grown up with this subscription and I get to taste the world without leaving the comfort of my house.
