Oreo lovers, the OREO Cookie Club is here! Inside every box are two deliciously different OREO experiences (a new flavor, or a familiar favorite) with fun OREO swag and a delicious recipe. It’s $59.97 per quarter and ships monthly for free. Every box comes with two OREO flavors, a one-of-a-kind OREO inspired gift and a recipe card.

It’s OREO time!

There is a sweet note from the Oreo Cookie Club on the bottom of the box.

The card features a high-quality photo of this month’s featured OREO recipe.

The recipe is OREO Strawberry Shortcake Ice Cream Roll-ups. Aside from OREO cookies, you will need heavy cream, sweetened condensed milk, kosher salt, and small strawberries!

Everything inside the July 2018 box!

Oreo Ice Cream Scoop. It’s made of thick plastic, and it fits nicely in the palm of your hand. This is a decent item as a backup for when my regular scooper is out of commission (aka in the dishwasher).

Oreo Tub. This will be a great container for home-made ice cream. I can also eat whatever is in it right away, straight from the freezer! Most OREO flavors are perfect to include in ice cream recipes so this would be awesome! But it doesn’t have a lid or anything, so its utility is rather limited.

Oreo Thins Pistachio Flavor ($2.99 – on sale for $2.50) This Oreo variety sandwiches a layer of rich pistachio-flavored creme between extra thin chocolate wafers.

It comes in a resealable pack with an easy pull-tab. It keeps the cookies fresh and it also ideal to bring along during long travels, for easy snacking.

However, the first flavor note from the pistachio Oreo is terrible! It got a little bit better as I ate it, but probably nobody should eat this. It’s a PISTACHI-NO! (It got better the next day but… weird, plus that’s basically the best thing I’ve ever written.)

Oreo Good Humor Strawberry Shortcake Sandwich Cookies ($2.99 – on sale for $2.50) The second pack of OREO cookies we got is a limited edition strawberry shortcake. The seasonal flavor sandwiches whipped strawberry flavored filling in two golden wafer cookies with strawberry bits.

It also comes in a resealable pack. The strawberry shortcake has a faint berry flavor, it mostly just tastes like frosting.

It kind of has crunchies in it. If you were hoping that this tasted like a Good Humor Strawberry Shortcake Bar, this isn’t. It did, however, set off paroxysms of coughing…

I can’t breathe… From the dumpster ice cream truck fire! They’re so sweet you might actually want to try to make the recipe that’s included in this box.

Another disappointing OREO Cookie Club box. The items that came in this box are both okay as they’ll be really useful especially if I made desserts with the cookies, but I don’t think I’ll include this box’s flavors! The pistachio ones are somewhat terrible, while the strawberry shortcake’s too sweet and doesn’t taste like the inspiration at all. Value-wise, you don’t get true value for what you paid for – and this month they didn’t bother to even have a coupon for a free chocolate bar. This subscription isn’t currently available, and OREO really didn’t do itself any favors by licensing the brand to whomever was running this subscription. This box needed loads of new flavors and more than 2 packs of cookies, exclusive awesome items, and a good value – something that is just totally missing from this box! The total value of the cookies this month was $5 on sale – take your money, head to Target, and buy a few packs!

What do you think of the OREO Cookie Club Subscription Box?

I had purchased the pistachio cookies at the grocery and really enjoyed them. If I said “different strokes for different folks” would that out date me?
