The June book theme is “Contemporary.”  Contemporary is my favorite type of romance! Each month brings a new theme which includes historical, mystery/suspense, contemporary, inspirational and paranormal.

The colorful Color Rush Red Floral Hair Detangler ($8.99 Amazon) keeps your flowing locks tangle free. I have the long, thick hair worthy of a fair maiden in distress and am unable to use the brush which is for fine to normal hair.

It untangles wet and dry hair. It’s a great inclusion for box that is about rewarding yourself with a bit of pampering.

Sometimes romance involves a little scandal. The Victoria’s Secret Scandalous Rollerball (7 ml, $11.99 Amazon) has raspberry liqueur, black peony, and praline as its notes. My husband found the sexy fruity scent appealing.

The Made in China Olivia Grace Hand Cream Trio (1 oz ea, apx $6.00 total) spices up life by offering variety. The lightly scented Cherry Blossom, Apricot Blossom, and Rose Blossom Creams are infused with argan oil and shea butter. They are just the right size for keeping at your desk or purse.

The audiobook for June is Royal Heir by Ruth Cardello ($14.99, $13.22 Amazon.)  It is book 3 of the Westerly Billionaire Series. Ruth Cardello did such an excellent job of including background information from the first two novels that I did not feel lost listening to the third novel.  Amazon describes it as

My sister and I spend several hours together in the car every week. We decided to listen to the audiobook together although she was initially nervous thinking it would be a salacious read.

We were pleasantly surprised by the depth of the plot along with the romance and fairy-tale type situations. Both Rochelle and Magnus have great one-liners that we enjoyed. It added a lot of entertainment in the car especially when I pulled out of a Costco parking lot with my window downs during a poignant moment. At least it was not during a bawdy scene!

The June Marilyn Martyouze Rewards box added excitement to my commute while spoiling me at home. My sister and I look forward to the time after I dropped my younger son off at camp so we could listen to the book during the rest of the commute. The hair detangler, perfume, and hand creams were simple ways to add moments of indulgent to my life. It’s a great box for women to reward themselves with a romantic story and pampering items.
