This is a review of a regular, non-curated box.

The theme is How to Hack Your Summer!

The information card gives brief details on each item as well as the price if you were to buy the full size. My information card was totally wrong this month! Whoops!

You can visit Birchbox.com/MyBox to easily see the details of your box, which I recommend because sometimes they have videos on the item product pages which I find useful.

Everything in my July box!

The Original Makeup Eraser SAMPLE( $20 Full-size) This makeup eraser can easily wipe those layers of makeup we put on. It’s an ultrasoft and chemical-free cloth which removes makeup with water alone, no matter what your skin type is. It has superfine fibers that include silk that is gentle on the skin and yet removes stubborn makeup, even the eyeliners, or waterproof mascaras and breaks up impurities without irritation.

Just run the cloth under water and gently do a circular motion with it on your face. You can also flip it to the other side for exfoliation. One of the best benefits is it’s reusable! You can totally pop this in your washing machine to clean it and it will greatly lessen the waste, save you a lot of money and in a way help give back to nature.

The sample is pretty small, but still workable!  The thing I like best about this? It’s prewashed and ready to use!

EyeKo London Brow Liner ($11.43) This is new for me as I am accustomed to the usual liquid eyeliners. This pen, however, is designed specifically to show some love for our brows. It also has a pointed tip that applies liquid gel and fills sparse spots anywhere and add definition and pop of color to the brows.

It aims to make our eyebrows more natural-looking and yet with a fuller and defined finish. Just use upward strokes and start from the inside of each brow moving out.

Arrow Revive Cooling Cheek Tint ($8) It is a breathable oil-free gel that sinks into the skin and gives a natural-looking blush that lasts throughout the day. It will not clog your pores and it has an easy to use with gentle cooling sensation upon application. It is vegan, not tested on animals and free of parabens and gluten.

These are the swatches! The black brow liner was kind of watery and wasn’t pigmented at all. But we have to remember this is not an eyeliner, the purpose of this brow liner is to fill in the sparse gaps on our brows and make it more natural-looking. So the full effect must not be judged by this swatch.

The second is the cooling cheek tint having a gel-like swatch and the third is the effect of it after it dries up. It is light and literally gives us a natural looking blush we need.

Solinotes Paris Mure Eau De Parfum ($0.82) Sophisticated yet playful, this scent has notes of raspberry, jasmine, lemon, and bergamot. Sandalwood and musk serve as the base to balance everything out.

It comes in a small bottle that you can easily fit your pocket, purse or bag. Just dab a little of the perfume onto your neck, wrists or behind your ears to have the refreshing fruity scent all day.

Marcelle City 24H Anti-Pollution Day & Night Moisturizing Emulsion ($4.08) This is an everyday moisturizer that promises to protect our skin against visible signs of pollution and to bring back its natural glow. It has cruelty and fragrance-free CityGuard complex that also provides long-lasting hydration and visibly brightens skin.

The moisturizer can be applied to a well-cleansed face and neck, morning and night. It can be worn alone or as a makeup base.

Nature Queen Root Nourishing Serum ($7.98) Botanicals and essential oils were combined in this serum to help boost blood circulation at the scalp that makes our hair longer and stronger. The formula is pretty lightweight. Just apply 5 to 10 drops of serum to parted sections of damp or dry hair. Massage for full absorption and apply twice a day for optimal results. The serum has a deep color so it is recommended for darker hair colors. It is free of colorants, fragrance, and parabens.

Birchbox does it again and gave us an exciting bunch of goodies! We have an intense but gentle makeup eraser, fruity and refreshing perfume, root nourishing serum, anti-pollution moisturizer, cooling cheek tint, and defining brow liner. The skin care and makeup items in this box will help us glow from within and emphasize our natural beauty. I got around $327 worth of products from a $10 per month subscription. I think I’m getting a sweet deal every time.
