Dia & Co. is a monthly personal styling subscription for plus-sized women. It’s like Stitch Fix, but for plus sizes. Fill out your profile and sizing information, pay a $20 styling fee (refundable against anything you choose to keep), and have 5 items selected by a stylist sent straight to your home to try on. Dia & Co. includes free shipping each way. If you keep all 5 items from your box, you’ll receive a 25% discount.

There’s a personalized letter waiting for you when you open the box.

Everything is neatly folded and packed.

The invoice for Dia & Co. shows the price of each item plus my potential discount if I opt to keep all of the pieces.

The stylist’s note introduces you to your stylist, provides insight into the selections, and offers suggestions on how to style the garments.

Screenshot_2016-03-07-23-34-29These are the looks that I told my stylist I wear or like via my fashion profile. I made it a point to emphasize that although I work in an office, I spend a lot of my workday outdoors and live in Florida where it is VERY humid, so I need clothes that are climate-friendly and easy care.

Amias Tassel Necklace ($29.00):  I really like this gold-tone necklace. It is a great layering piece and features a tassel (this year’s jewelry trend). Due to the longer length on this piece, the coin and tassel land just about mid-bust on me. I didn’t keep this necklace because I found 2 in my jewelry box that looks pretty close to this. I didn’t realize that I had such a tendency to pick up this style.

Here’s a better look at the necklace. The tassel is longer and not as full as the picture on the Dia & Co. site. I wrapped the chain around the top of the form several times so that I could show the detail on the drop.

London Times | Lucy Fit and Flare Dress ($75.00): LOVED THIS DRESS! You can’t tell from the picture, but this has a keyhole detail on the front. Also, the belt I received was gold. The birds-eye lace added another layer of femininity to this knee-length fit and flare dress. Plus, I’m a sucker for red. My only issue was the price on this. At $75, it was higher than at every other online retailer that I saw. The other downside, this was also sold out at each of those websites. ?

Marybelle | Holin Wide Neck Top ($65.00): This shirt was shapeless and reminded me of a muumuu. That might have been due to the fact that I was shipped a 5X top – I wear either a 1X or 2X depending on the brand. The flower pattern on the blue background didn’t help, either. I did like that that the top didn’t cling and had sheer sleeves. However, I don’t think this would have been a keeper even if it came in my actual size.

Molly & Isadora | Monica Sleeveless Tie Tank ($49.00):  This slub knit tank features tie straps and a poplin lace hem. I wear a ton of white in the summer, so this would be a good add to my wardrobe. However, the knit portion of the tank was a little bit sheerer than I like, meaning I would end up wearing a cami underneath to feel comfortable. To most people, it would probably be an acceptable density. I also couldn’t justify paying $49 for a tank.

Molly & Isadora | Leroy Skinny Jean ($65.00):  These jeans were ah-mazing! They fit really well and had a small amount of stretch to them. Seriously, these felt like a second skin. Plus, I prefer dark rinse jeans – they look a bit dressier in my opinion.

Now for the styled looks. Will you agree with my opinions?!?

This look is fairly versatile. I could wear this to the office, to brunch, or even on a date. I paired the Lucy dress with a pair of nude pumps. My stylist suggested wearing the Amias necklace with this dress, but it ended up taking away from the keyhole detail. A short necklace or choker would work better with this neckline.

So, here’s the Holin top with the Leroy jeans. You can see that the top just swallowed me up. All the extra fabric (from getting the wrong size) ended up making me look bulkier. I kind of feel like a linebacker in this.

And this is the Monica tank with the Leroy jeans. Thankfully, the shadows in the picture mask some of the sheerness of the top. I thought this was a fun casual look, perfect for a day of being out and about.

The overall price of the box (if I kept all 5 items) was $192. This is after the $20 styling fee and 25% discount are applied. That’s roughly $40 per item, which is about the average amount I would spend if I went out shopping. By the way, Dia & Co. does price match, so if you find something at a better price, contact them with the information to receive additional savings.

My stylist’s choices have improved since last month’s box, letting me know that she’s paying attention to my feedback. I can’t wait to see what she chooses for me next month.

    Dress and jeans look great!

I just received my first dia box and everything was a miss. I kept the necklace to recoup my styling fee. Hopefully next box will be better. 🙂
