Birchbox Man July 2018 Subscription Box Review & Coupon

Hello Subscription may earn compensation via links in this post. Read the full disclosure

Birchbox Man is a monthly grooming and lifestyle subscription for men. Through it, you’ll receive 3-4 sample items that are smaller versions of what you can order from the Birchbox site. There are two versions – Birchbox Man Plus for $20 per month that includes a full-size lifestyle item, or regular Birchbox Man for $10 per month with no lifestyle item.

This is a review of the Birchbox Man Plus $20 per month box.

The lifestyle item often doesn’t fit in the sample box.

DEAL:For a limited time when you subscribe to Birchbox Man and use coupon code VITAMINS you’ll get a supply of hims multivitamin gummies – a $16 value!

Birchbox has always been about the samples, so if you are a stickler for calculating in-box value, you’ll have to do some math to figure the per ounce value. The cards show the price for the full-size version of the included items — they are available on the Birchbox site. See your box at

There’s a special card for BirchMan tips and life hacks.

This card shows the 5 samples from this box and their brief description.

Here are the items in my July 2018 box.

Modern Made By Man Toiletry Wrap Bag ($25) It is a toiletry bag made of polyester featuring four separate slots and a durable closure strap. It’s great for keeping everything separated instead of the ungodly mess that usually occurs with a typical dopp.

Jack Black Pit Boss Anti Perspirant & Deodorant ($8.04) This product claims to be the next-generation antiperspirant. It is a combination of the FDA-approved blend of zirconium trichlorohydreax, sunflower oil, castor oil, and aloe. The formula keeps the underarms dry, prevents irritation, and nourishes your underarm skin.

It’s 37 grams of invisible and lightweight deodorant that can handle maximum odor and facilitates sweat control. It also smells citrusy without being overpowering.

Rudy’s Clay Spray ($6) You can still get the coveted beach look with this spray! It features a blend of salt and kaolin clay for medium hold and natural look. It can add texture to any hairstyle.

It works best in fine to medium-textured hair. Just spray it evenly into slightly damp hair and air dry for a natural look, style with your fingers or add heat to have volume.

Clinique For Men Maximum Hydrator ($5.85) You can apply this activated water-gel concentrate in lieu of a moisturizer. Water is our go-to for hydration and this product is made up of just that. It has hydrating water-gel that gives your skin a boost while still being non-sticky and lightweight. It is formulated with encapsulated antioxidants and helps energize and protect against the stressing environmental factors.

Journeymen Natural Facial Wash ($2.37) This facial wash deeply cleanses dirt with citrus extract, exfoliating willow bark, and hydrating aloe. It steers clear from harsh parabens, sulfates, and artificial fragrance that can partake in dangers for sensitive skin. It has a good lather that can easily be rinsed without leaving a tacky residue.

Kiehl’s Eye Fuel ($4.50) Just apply this formula in patting motions and you’ll be rid and relieved by those tired and puffy eyes. This eye cream soothes and has a blend of caffeine and chestnut extract that reduces dark circles. You will look well rested and fresh even if you are pulling off an all-nighter look.

I can easily store the samples I got for skin care routine or my grooming kit here. Each slot is spacious and you can just fold the flap if you want to keep the items inside.

This is what it looks like when the wrap-bag has items inside, coiled, sealed by the velcro patch and ready to go!

I spent $20 for $50 worth of goodies! They pushed the ante of skincare for men and how to store it. Women have shiny pouches and men have this wrap bag. It is one of the cool things about subscribing to Birchbox Man Plus. I’m updated with the trends and what’s the next best thing for men. I like this wrap bag because it’s convenient to pack on travel bags and at least my skincare loot or grooming kit is secured in a safe place. I liked all the samples that I received because they all came from distinguished brands and have a variety of uses too.  Plus, the value of the grooming items was way better than the past few months – they were getting really inexpensive but this amped the value right back up!
