A Little Touch of Magick Mystery Box is a box with a story in mind. Each box contains an original short story, and five or more items to bring that story alive! Boxes may feature hand-made soaps, candles, bath products, jewelry, accessories, home decor, original art & more! The box is $45.99 a month

The box smells soooo good!

DEAL: Get $5 off on your first box! Use coupon code HELLO.

This month’s short story is Retribution by J.M. Steele. It’s a two pages long story about mermaids! I love the artwork for it! It says on the cover to read this story first, but I was too curious to see all the goodies to be told what to do! But after going through this box and coming back to read the story, the two are nicely tied together, although I felt at some part of the story that the goodies were chosen before the story. But it’s hard to really tell, only the writer knows!

On the inside, we have a little introduction of who one of the characters is.

We also get a list of what Amphitrite sent back from the land of the Mermaids, aka a list of items with their values.

Everything in the box! It’s like an ocean treasure with seashells, silver gifts, bath salts, and soap! Everything was nicely wrapped in bubble wrap so nothing could move or break during transit.

Silver Net Kimono. A lovely silver Kimono that can be used as a cover-up on the beach.

It’s 100% polyester and made in China. I like how it ties to the “Mermaids’ collection of woven silvery net hammocks and shawls” from the short story!

Handmade Seashell Accent Comb.

Your mermaid hair accent comb is a one-of-a-kind creation from the collaboration of Spoiled Rotten Lilith and Lady Luna Adornments jewelry studios. Each comb has been had crafted exclusively for A Little Touch of Magick’s June mermaid box. We hope you enjoy adding a little mermaid glam to your hairstyle!

I love love love this comb, even though I have no idea to make it stick to my hair (long, straight as a pancake, with no grip whatsoever). It’s made with a mix of freshwater pearls, glass pearls, glass beads, seashells, abalone shells. It looks rich and fancy, very mermaid-like, but I’m pretty sure that I can make it work with a nice black dress and a couple of hairpins. The teeth are obviously handmade with very slick metal wire, so they’ll need a bit of help to stick to my hair. But I’ll be wearing it for summer brunches for sure! It’s definitely my favorite item in this box!

Mermaid Necklace. After seeing the lovely Seashell Comb, I was excited by this necklace, even though it’s not handmade.

It has a mixed of a crystal seashell, a mermaid seen from the back, seashell and glass pearls. Everything you can dream about when you think of a mermaid!

And it comes with a cute pair of glass pearl earrings.

Dolphin Earrings on stainless steel wires. In the short stories, the mermaids mentioned how most of the dolphins liked humans and that their altruism made them too susceptible to abuse from boats and nets. Lovely addition to a mermaid theme box as I always imagined the dolphins as their best friends. Maybe I’ve been influenced by The Little Mermaid!

Pink Himalayan Sea Salt Bath Soak. This is what was smelling so good in this box!

It’s made of Pink Himalayan Sea Salt, Epsom Salt and lovely coconut oil. There’s no indication on the fragrance added, but it smells “tropical”. A mix of coconut and maybe papaya? I couldn’t find this item in their store, so I went with what I think I smell.

And it was divine in my bath! It was relaxing, soothing after a gym session, and with that summer spa feeling! A little goes a long way, but it won’t last long since I love it so much! I wish I knew from where to buy more!

Sea Siren or Mermaid Tears Soap. Well, I had the Siren’s Song instead! I won’t complain, the fragrances listed are all fragrances I absolutely adore, especially the jasmine! It smells both floral and earthy, almost muddy, but fresh. Once again, I couldn’t find this item on their website.

It’s made with Goat’s Milk, Coconut Oil, Safflower Oil and feels slightly oily, but leaves the skin smooth!

Mermaid Coin Purse. A cute and shiny coin purse, perfect size to carry small cards as well.

Set of Vintage Style Mermaid Note Cards. I love how the card on the left fits with the artwork of the short story, I wonder if the idea was taken from this picture! They are blank inside, and the paper is beige, giving them a nice older look.

I fell in love with A little Touch of Magick Mystery Box. The curation was lovely with a short story to tie everything together, making the story a fun sensory adventure! A lot of care went into this box and I like all the handmade items. The Comb, although not what I’ve tried before, is so lovely that I want to learn how to wear it! The bath salts and the soap were divine and I just wish there was a way to get more of the lovely salts! Overall, a fun experience with a lot of care! My only complain, and it’s not a big one, is that I wished the short story was a bit longer (like 5 pages instead of 2). I love short stories, so I wanted more!!!!
