STRONG self(ie) is a quarterly subscription box that helps empower young girls to be their best self! There are two boxes to choose from: the BLOOM(box) is for girls ages 8-12 and the BURST(box) is for girls ages 13-17. I have a 14-year-old daughter, who helped me review the BURST(box)!

So much more than a quarterly subscription box – STRONG self(ie) is building up a community of STRONG girls by delivering handpicked items that are purposeful, positive, and powerful.

Every STRONG self(ie) box features trendy products that represent the four corners of self(ie) strength, and includes an inspirational message for girls, along with an envelope of resources for parents.

You will receive 4-6 of our favorite seasonal products that we think support strong girls. Our goal with each box is to provide you with a meaningful, inspiring message to help you be your STRONG-est self(ie)!

First look!

DEAL: Get 20% off your first box! Use coupon code Hello20.

There were two envelopes inside, and usually one is for parents and one is for the intended recipient of the box, but for some reason I received two envelopes for parents.

There was a note for parents about how summer is here and it is a good time to connect with our daughters.

The back of the card listed the product info and showed which core strength each item enhances. STRONG self(ie) hopes to encourage girls with items that promote four self(ie) strengths: health(ie), smart(ie), funn(ie), and beaut(ie).

There were four inspirational cards that you can slip into your daughter’s backpack, place next to her sink, or prop on her pillow. My daughter has dance team camp this week so I am going to place one in her lunchbox to give her a boost during the 12-hour days.

There were a few coupon codes and more info about some of the items.

The reaction I get when my daughter sees that her box has arrived is just heart-warming. Karina’s face lights up, I think she clapped her hands, she hangs around and we unbox it together.

Everything in my box!

Don’t you love it when you get a present inside of a package? More suspense, more anticipation!

Almay Shadow Squad Holographic Eyeshadow in Fairy Tale ($6.99) is an exclusive limited-edition compact available at Ulta. Strong Self(ie) also included a sponge applicator.

The colors are light and ethereal and would make a nice highlighter in a pinch.

Here they are swatched on Karina’s arm. Karina doesn’t wear heavy makeup except for dance team (they wear MAC y’all!) so this is better for her day-to-day look.

Natural Life Water Bottle – SIMILAR ($28) Even my older daughter wanted this adorable water bottle. Plus, Strong Self(ie) sent the good stuff – this is double-walled stainless steel, not cheap, plastic-lined aluminum.

You can fill it with hot or cold drinks and they will stay that way for several hours. Holds 17 ounces.

There was a card with info on how to get a 3-month membership to BYOU Magazine ($5 value). BYOU is intended for girls ages 8-16 and “helps build self-esteem in fun and empowering ways with features on positive celebrity role models, stories about real girls making a difference, tips, advice, games, crafts, contests, jokes, and much more. Topics include friendships, bullying, inner beauty, empowerment, community service, and other timely subjects to help today’s girl glow from the inside out.”

Wave Ring (find similar here for $9.99) Make waves? Heck yeah, I’ve already booked a flight for me and my girl to visit California next week so this is perfect to get in the mood for our trip.

The ring is adjustable to fit a variety of finger sizes and features a simple wave shape.

Here’s Karina modeling her new ring. We both love the beach and can’t wait to dip our toes in the Pacific!

Blue Planet Polarized Eyewear – SIMILAR ($50) A pair of sunglasses is welcome year-round where I live, and I appreciate that the glasses came with a case.

These glasses have polarized lenses with UVA/UVB protection.

They have wooden arms (technically called the temples!) and are just adorable.

Blue Planet donates a pair of corrective glasses to a person in need every time someone buys a pair of their glasses.

Frooze Balls Mint & Cacao ($3) Yum, candy made of fruit is something I can get behind. Mint and chocolate? Yes, please!

These balls are made out of dates, raisins, cashews, sunflower seeds, almonds, raw cacao, coconut, Himalayan salt, and peppermint oil. They start off chocolaty and minty but then start to taste like the rest of the ingredients. I liked them and more importantly, Karina did too!

Live Happ(ie) Summer Stripes Towel ($40) What a huge towel! The material isn’t listed but I’m pretty sure it’s cotton and it is very lightweight. I think it would make the perfect beach blanket for one or two people. Or lay it on the sun chair at your local pool before sitting or laying down.

It is embroidered with LIVE Happ(ie) and has fringe on both ends.

Strong Self(ie) consistently sends boxes with high-quality items that my daughter loves and uses. I feel like a lot of thought goes into this subscription and it isn’t a box full of cheap filler items. Karina looks forward to receiving this quarterly box and the excitement on her face makes my heart happy. The products in this summer shipment are useful and perfect for the season. The value was amazing, around $142.98! I’m just happy that my teenager acts like a kid again every time she gets this box!
