Luxe Box is a quarterly beauty box curated by the same people behind Topbox. While the regular Topbox only ships within Canada, Luxe Box has a US version as well. Both boxes are $26 with free shipping and are sent out every three months. Luxe Box offers some customization options as boxes are being prepared, usually allowing subscribers to choose a foundation shade or a preference for nail polish, for example.

On top of everything were some pamphlets and coupons.

Simple Cleansing Facial Wipe — I’ve used Simple wipes before and they are nice and basic. They remove most makeup well but waterproof mascara not so much.

Nude By Nature Primer ($12.21) — I’ve spotted Nude By Nature at the local Shoppers Drug Mart Beauty Boutiques, and they are a line from Australia. This is their Perfecting Primer — with Vitamin A, E, and green tea, all fantastic ingredients. The primer is light and spreadible and didn’t add any sort of noticeable shine, just a nice softness.

Delectable Body Butter Cream ($1.72) — Luxe Box often sends Cake Beauty products which is totally fine by me because I LOVE them. This is the triple citrus body butter and it smells so good and summery. It contains shea butter to seal in hydration and keep hands and body soft and silky.

Skin & Co Truffle Face Gommage ($4.30) — This is an exfoliating treatment for the face from Skin & Co from Italy. It contains truffle oil (so luxe!) and sweet almond oil to keep skin hydrated and soft while sloughing away dead skin to reveal a brighter complexion. I’m definitely going to give this a whirl!

Doucce Fierce and Fine Eyeliner ($21) — I love a good eyeliner pen, honestly, I can never have too many so I don’t complain when such a boring basic arrives in my box!

Smashbox Super Fan Mascara — A Smashbox mascara that promises to fan out lashes for a full look.

Paco Rabonne Olympea Intense Fragrance — I love perfume samples because they’re so satisfying to finish due to their small size.

TOP NOTES

  • Salted-vanilla

HEART NOTES

  • Orange blossom
  • White pepper

BASE NOTES

  • Wood

This smells absolutely delicious. The vanilla is definitely the star of the show at first spritz, but it softens to reveal the more floral musky heart of the fragrance.

Pretty Woman Polish in “So Minaj” ($7.99) — I couldn’t find any record of this shade on their website or Google but it really does look like her hair! A shimmery pink colour. Their polishes are all 10 Free which is awesome.

Mirabella Chroma Palette ($24.50) — A stunning palette in warm jewel tone metallics. I wear mostly neutrals and never any colour on my eyes, so I can’t decide whether to keep this or not. What do you think?

The Summer Luxe Box was a lot of fun with some neat products I hadn’t tried before. I’m stoked about the perfume, hand cream, primer, and mask — and I am still undecided on the palette but was happy to see such a beautiful range of colours!
