CosmoBox is a lifestyle subscription box curated by the editors of Cosmopolitan magazine that brings you full-size quality goodies that compliment and empower your multidimensional lifestyle. You will receive a box filled with the newest trends in beauty, fashion, and lifestyle (valued at over $40).

FYI – this subscription recently increased their price to $29.99 per month + shipping.

The items are wrapped in a shiny bronze paper and are sealed with a CosmoBox sticker logo.

This is the jampacked box upon ripping the bronze paper.

Team Cosmo has included a short note for their subscribers.

The card contains a list of all the items included in the box, along with a short description for each.

Everything in the May box! All the items this month were 2018 Cosmo Beauty Award Winners.

Sunday Riley C.E.O. Rapid Flash Brightening Serum ($85) It’s a highly potent brightening serum infused with Vitamin C to fight dullness and uneven skin tone. The formula boosts the skin and makes it radiant. I’ve used this before and I love it because it left my pores minimized and my tired skin energized.

It promises to work on all types of skin. On top of its antioxidant properties, it is also free from parabens, phthalates, and sulfates. The formula is light and non-greasy too!

I like using pumps on serums to control how much I use every day.

You can apply one to two pumps of this serum to neck, chest, and face in the morning and at night for best results. What a hero item!

Garnier Fructis Pure Clean Detangler + Air Dry ($5.99) A detangler like this allows lets you air dry as it gently unties the knots and tangles while it controls frizz. The formula contains aloe vera and vitamin E that maintains the hair’s smoothness and shine.

This one’s vegan, paraben-free, and silicone-free. It promises to nourish hair from root to tip, leaving it smooth and silky. It also helps prevent hair fall because of forced brushing. When sprayed to damp hair, brushing is done in a jiffy.

Klorane Dry Shampoo with Nettle-Natural Tint ($10) Another hair product in the box is this dry shampoo with nettle that purifies and revives. It is effective for oily hair because it highly absorbs oil without the use of water. Shake well and spray, focusing on the roots and leave it to be absorbed. After 2 minutes, you can brush through and voila! Your hair is clean and fresh! We can’t ever get enough of Klorane!

Biore Acne Cleansing Foam with Baking Soda ($6.39) Baking soda has been known to clean stubborn stains and now they came up with a product combining it with salicylic acid. It aims to deeply clean pores and control acne without irritating skin.

It lathers well and foams up quickly but is not overdrying.

I love its pump mechanism and a little product can go a long way. It is oil-free and ph balanced and I liked the silky, foamy texture.

Skin Better Science Hydro Boosting Face Cream ($16) Ceramides and botanical lipids were combined in this lightweight moisturizer to provide long-lasting hydration and a smooth and velvety finish on your skin.

It works for all skin types and it’s non-comedogenic too. This is a good additional moisturizer to your skin care regimen and can be applied before sunscreen. The formula is also free of parabens, fragrances, and dyes.

Neutrogena Radiance Boost Brightening 100% Hydrogel Mask ($2.50) It’s a hydrogel mask that promises to brighten, boost, and smooth skin. It has Vitamin B3 which can help give skin a radiant glow.

The mask contours to the shape of your face and locks it in for full absorption. You can leave it on for 15 to 30 minutes after cleansing and exfoliation, and before applying your moisturizer. This mask was like a luxury treatment at a very low price!

Invisibobble Slim Hair Ties ($12.99) I love Invisibobble! It’s a no tangle hair tie that works really well for me. It’s also water resistant and doesn’t seem to stretch out or get grimy. The spiral design is for flexible styling.

There are three hair ties in the clear box.

Dove Anti -Stress Micellar Water Beauty Bar ($2.49) The scent of this beauty bar was a little intense for me – I wish they made it without fragrance, which had a clean and fresh smell. I lathered up quickly and it can make a good foam. Two bars were included.

These are travel-friendly because no liquid! Summer is coming and multiple trips are planned. These two might come in handy.

Dove kind of leaves a slippery residue that makes you doubt if you wash the soap enough, but once you get past that it is a very good moisturizing soap. These bars include micellar technology to help rinse away grime – the kids and I tested them out and I felt that I really had to rinse repeatedly, but thought it was a good every day bar if you prefer washing with soap.

E.L.F. Cosmetics Blend It Out Silicone Sponge Duo ($16.99) Silicone sponges are great makeup tools because they do not harbor bacteria, plus you can easily wash and dry them. This one is even cruelty-free and vegan!

The pointy end can be used to blend out makeup in the hard to reach areas. Just buff it out and you will be fine.

I like that it doesn’t absorb, so in a way, I get to save makeup. Also, this product is a winner of 2018 Cosmopolitan Beauty Award!

There’s a code card that you can use on their website to get free shipping!

Finishing Touch Flawless in Blush ($19.99) The discreet facial hair remover looks like an expensive shiny lipstick at first look. It’s an 18k gold plated facial hair remover that is gentle on skin and has a built-in light so you can see even the finest of hairs. It promises that the hair will not grow back thicker.

It comes with an AA battery and a brush.

There are mini guidelines provided for this product. They also want to know our feedback and that we can reach them through their website and in exchange, they will give us 10% off of our next purchase.

It has a nice design and perfect shape to maneuver around the contours of the face.

It removes hair fuss-free and pain-free from lip area, cheeks to chin.

L’Oreal Paris Ever Pure Deep Moisture Hair Sheet Mask ($3.99) Aloe Blossom, one of the ingredients of this hair sheet mask, helps create a layer of moisture to revitalize the hair. The shower steam can melt the product into your hair for absorption and for instant lightweight nourishment. It is free from parabens, phthalates, harsh salts, or dye.

I love the packaging and how it is designed. It is like a facial sheet mask but for hair and it works the same way too. Open the pack and unfold it. Shampoo your hair and then apply the essence to it first before wrapping your head with the mask provided. Safely secure it and massage or leave in for 5 minutes and then rinse off. Your hair is going to be instantly renewed!

Well, everything in this box certainly made an impression – I was surprised when I saw the spoiler reveal but really pleased with the outcome – a heavy duty $183 value. It was fun to try out the Cosmo Beauty award-winning finds. They pretty much have us covered when it comes to skincare, hair care, and makeup. I liked that the products are easily absorbed by my skin and don’t feel tacky. Even the serum oil is not greasy! The majority of the products moisturize and are innovative! I especially like the Neutrogena sheet mask, the Invisibobble, the moisturizer, and of course the Sunday Riley serum. That being said, if you were looking for a lifestyle subscription box, you may have been disappointed in this month. We’re still not sure what CosmoBox is trying to achieve, but expect a totally new theme and product mix every month.
