Honua Moana Mask ($38) It is full to the brim! This mask has ingredients such as Limu Ko’a or Hawaiian Spirulina, which are rich in antioxidants that boost cell regeneration to prevent premature aging. It is detoxifying, balancing and replenishing treatment all in one.
Moana also has the traditional plant, Laukahi, a very potent healing ingredient that is used for centuries to revive thirsty skin. It is very cool to the skin when applied and can be a leave-on mask for 10 to 20 minutes or use it as a quick facial cleanser and leave on for 5-7 minutes before washing. Beauty Heroes suggests contemplating the meaning of Aloha in the Malu box while you wait.
Honua Malu Reef Safe Protecting Day Cream ($42) It works for me like an oil-moisturizer-primer-sunscreen-in-one so I don’t have to apply a lot of different creams. This product can do all the work. Also, the packaging is beautiful and recyclable.
The sunscreen doesn’t have bleach in it. It is an eco mineral sunscreen that is also reef-safe. It has non-nano zinc for sun protection, as well as noni and pikake which are environmental protectants.
It is like opening a present with a work of art inside. The proceeds buying Malu goes to a non-profit organization called Sustainable Coastlines in Hawaii that educates the community and maintains the ocean clean. Usually I think some of the Beauty Heroes rituals are a little odd, but I really loved the suggestion of contemplating this – wouldn’t it make a beautiful print to keep in the bathroom?
It is a sheer and lightweight product, it doesn’t feel sticky and can be used under makeup. I just wonder how to get all the product at the bottom if we can’t pump anymore.

Beauty Heroes Reusable Glass Straw With Brush. This is a convenient idea! We will not worry about disposing of plastic straws because this is reusable and we won’t worry about taking time to finish our drink because it will not wrinkle as opposed to paper straws. Moreso, they didn’t leave us hanging by giving us a brush to clean it! As indicated on the straw and the theme of the box, we are indeed using less product by using this one.
I loved the featured brand and the products they gave us. Actually, the sidekick product (Moana Mask) works like a hero also, it’s in full size and does a great job in pore cleansing and makes my skininstantly radiant. They were really generous as these products are worth $80 and to top it off, they also gave us a glass straw which makes us heroes in a way. While using nature-friendly products, it promotes our health while we give back to nature and save marine lives. The total value of $80 is great, but also a bit less than recent boxes.
