We have the theme spoilers for the June 2018 Scribbler Box! Scribbler is a subscription box for writers – created by authors, for authors.

Scribbler was created by bestselling authors Lindsay Cummings and Victoria Scott. Scribbler is designed to help writers do the three most important things: stay motivated, improve their craft, and connect with the right publishing professionals. Inside each box, you’ll find–

  • A Monthly Writing Theme (ex. Plot, Characters, Dialogue)
  • New Release Fiction Novel (Adult, Young Adult, and Middle Grade selections)
  • Collectible ‘Writing Passport’ from the Featured Author (Teaching you how to master that month’s theme)
  • An Invitation to Communicate with a Publishing Professional (ex. private Skype chat with that novel’s editor)
  • Curated Writerly Gifts

The theme for June is RESEARCH!

Holy Scribblers. You have surpassed all expectations yet again! We’re officially SOLD OUT for May boxes.

Which means it’s time to announce the JUNE THEME: RESEARCH. This word either excites you or scares the hell out of you, but the bottom line is weall have to research for our novels. Struggling to get into your character’s head? Not sure exactly how that medieval castle looked from the inside? And how in the heck are you supposed to accurately write about clothing and word choices and even character names if you’re writing about a different country, different time period, or even a modern day location that’s different from the ones you’re familiar with? It’s a lot to wrap your head around. But if you think about it, authors have an awesome opportunity to research in ways that are epic–whether it be taking a karate class, signing up for a cooking lesson, or dancing the night away beneath the stars. We’ll cover all this and more, in a box that applies to everyone’s WIP.

What do you think of this month’s Scribbler spoilers?
