I received a card with a link to learn all about my May box. The crystal of the month is Amethyst, which is such a lovely stone!

Everything was wrapped well and snuggled into a bed of white squiggles.

Everything inside the Crystal Love Box!

I received 3 Chevron Striped Amethyst stones (find similar ones here) and one Black Tourmaline (find a similar one here).

These are polished and smooth and are suitable for placing in your pocket.

The white stripes and clear spots in the amethyst are from quartz and they are supposed to bring energy and protection to the person who carries them around. Or place it on your desk to help with concentration, or hold in your hand during meditation. You can even give them a good wash and then place in a cup of water. Let the stones soak for a few minutes, remove from the glass, and then drink your crystal-infused water. Some might say to try this during a full-moon to get even more benefits from the stone’s energy.

Black tourmaline is a protective stone, helping to keep negative energies away from the wearer/carrier. I have a necklace that I wear made of this stone to keep “soul suckers” away from me, or maybe to just to keep them from bringing me down.

There were a couple of videos that you can watch to learn more about this month’s stones, plus one of them showed how to use a pendulum.

The Amethyst Point Pendulum (find a similar one here) can help you find answers to questions in the here and now. You can watch the video to see how it works, but you start by asking it yes or no questions to see which direction is yes, and which direction is no. You may find it swings front to back, side to side, or clockwise/counterclockwise.

My friend and her husband sell rocks and crystals at crafts shows in our area and thanks to them I have a couple of beautiful Amethyst Clusters like the one I received this month (find a similar one here). My cluster is around 3 1/2 inches wide and 2 inches at its highest point. It is very solid in my hand and about the size of my closed fist.

According to Tami, the owner of Crystal Love Box, Amethyst is called the “namaste” stone as it can help you recognize the light in others and for them to do the same for you. It is a healing stone and can help clear the mind of negative thoughts. You can meditate with this cluster or even use the point from the pendulum to help protect your spirit and send positivity into the universe.

The back of the stone just looks like a rock. Keep in mind that amethysts are sensitive to the sun and will eventually fade if placed in direct sunlight.

I thought my first Crystal Love Box was very pretty and I have learned a lot about the amethyst thanks to Tami. I liked the way the different pieces can be used in various ways, and I appreciated the way it was presented in a loving and positive manner. I think crystals are lovely and sometimes you can even feel the power emanating from them. Your stones may need to be cleansed from time to time to get rid of negative energies, especially if you are using them to heal. Otherwise, you can set them aside and just enjoy how beautiful they are. The video was helpful and I look forward to seeing what’s in the next box!
