Some special offers were included in the mailing.

If you are interested in new collectibles from Disney, you can reserve them by sending these cards.

Starwars costs $24.95 and includes a shipping fee of $3.95 and sales tax $1.73, making a total of $30.63.

For this month, we got Star Wars: The Last Jedi! I’m excited about this because I’ve been watching the whole Star Wars film franchise. It’s currently available on Blu-Ray at Shop Disney for $24.99, and for $19.99 on Amazon for Prime Members only – it wasn’t available at the time we received the discs in the mail.

When you buy NEW releases from this club it’s important to note that you’ll be paying a little bit more to have the disc AND digital copy first thing. For a while I only rented movies but now that I have kids that watch movies over and over, we’ve gone back to discs.

These are the bonuses that the movie nerd in me live for! Included in this kit are the 14 deleted scenes and a full-length documentary where you can see behind the scenes and the inner workings of the director’s masterpiece. It also has scene breakdowns and audio commentary.

Movies Anywhere is a cloud-based digital locker that allows users to stream anywhere and download purchased movies and digital copies that are redeemed from codes. This platform is operated by Disney.

They are perfectly secured in a hard case along with the code card. You can download the Movies Anywhere App then enter the code provided on this card. You can watch it anytime and anywhere, just as long as you have an internet connection.

There are 2 CDs of the feature film and 1 bonus CD featuring the stills from the movie. I liked it, although if you want to know my movie review, it’s that they really went for every cheap laugh and heartwarming/knowing smile in this episode.

We finished up our Disney Movie Club commitment!

Our total:

  • Introductory offer + add-ons (use the add-ons to maximize how much you get for what you pay):  6 discs, $25.90
  • December 2017 shipment: 3 movies, $33.90
  • February 2018 shipment: 1 movie, $28.90
  • April 2018 shipment: 1 movie, $35.93
  • May 2018 shipment: 1 movie, 30.63.

Breakdown: $14.53 per movie – and that’s with us making sure to buy the priciest new release titles to fulfill our member commitment. I think it was totally worth it, especially with the difficulty of buying new release Disney films from major retailers – Disney has been windowing releases so that they’re digital only unless you buy straight from them. Either we’re buying kids movies that will get watched repeatedly, or more mature movies that we know we’ll revisit in a few years, so we really want to be able to have the disc. The next month selection is Peter Pan, so we already know we’re in – we’ll be reading the book before we watch the movie. It’s a great subscription for families!
