SnackFever is a monthly subscription box that delivers all your favorite Korean snacks, as well as other hard-to-find Korean treats. Each month, subscribers will get 5 to 12 Korean snacks and treats, depending on their subscription. Snack Fever is available in three boxes, the mini box, the original box, and the deluxe box, and subscriptions are $12, $22, and $35, respectively, every month.

DEAL: Save $3 off your first box (Original, Deluxe). Use coupon code HELLOSUB3.

Our December SnackFever theme is Happy Holidays – It is Christmas. Here’s a giftbox of some favorite treats and stocking stuffers.

And, don’t forget to practice your Korean with Eggbun’s lessons. December is focused around the winter cold and flu season. I wish that it was more in line with the holiday theme. No one wants to be sick at Christmas.

The printed product information sheet details what was received in each size SnackFever box.

I can’t believe how much gets sent over each month. Here is my December Deluxe Box. Click here to see all of our SnackFever reviews (Brandy covers the Original box review).

Örum | Doraemon Sweet Butter Lollipop: Doraemon is a Japanese character that is very popular in Korea. This month we got a butter (yes, butter) flavored sweet lollipop. This was an interesting flavor. My niece said it wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great either. We think you really need to like butter for this sweet treat.

Lotte | Jjang Sheyo (Sour Cola Gummies): This is a snack pack of cola flavored gummies coated with sour sugar. This isn’t as sour as you would expect, which made them quite tasty.

Lotte | Malang Cow Yogurt Candy: This candy is supposed to taste like one of our favorite yogurt drinks. It is sweet and milky, with a marshmallow texture.

Wasabi Flavored Almonds: I am not a fan of wasabi, so this snack pack of almonds went to my dad. He loves wasabi and said that these had just the right amount saltiness and kick to them.

Here’s a better look at the Malang Cow candies. Not sure why the package makes them look like jelly beans. As you can see in the above picture, it looks like a small marshmallow. They also come individually wrapped. I love this about Asian candies. It helps them last longer in my house because – (1) a large number of wrappers makes you feel guilty and (2) you don’t have to try to finish the pack before it goes stale.

Damtuh | Almond Sweet Potato Latte: Surprisingly, this drink is new to me. Traditionally to make this drink, sweet potatoes are steamed and blended with milk and spices. They can be topped off with an almond garnish too. This instant version has some almond flavoring added. Here you see the cup, but inside is an instant drink pouch and stirrer. Just add hot water and enjoy. While I love Korean sweet potatoes, I haven’t wrapped my head around drinking one. I guess this would be similar to a pumpkin spice latte, right? Note: The information shows that subscribers were supposed to receive a Pokémon Bulbasaur Green Tea Latte.

Monster ChocoBall: This is a chocolate flavored puff ball, similar to Cocoa Puffs cereal but with a denser texture and more crunch. These are great when I want a chocolate fix.

Orion | Choco Pie – Chocochip (x2): This is an upgraded version of the traditional Choco Pie. The marshmallow center is sandwiched by two cakes/cookies that have chocolate chips throughout. There is a slight twist – the marshmallow has a bit of marmalade in it! Of course the whole thing is enrobed in a yummy layer of chocolate.

Here’s a closer look at the Monster ChocoBall snack.

Haitai | Yangdding x Ddotty Egg Chips: Not sure that I’d describe these as chips; they are more like a wafer cookie with an egg based batter. They are lightly sweetened and very delicious. I ate the whole bag in about 5 minutes. In case you are wondering what Yangdding x DDotty means, they are two Sandbox friends with YouTube channels on Minecraft and gaming who have a large following in Korea.

Lotte | Ghana Air Light Hazelnut Chocolate Bar: This is an aerated hazelnut flavored chocolate bar. I like the light texture. The bar melts in your mouth.

Orion | Milk Caramel – Cold Brew Latte Flavor: I am always happy to receive milk caramels and was excited to get these. They have a soft texture and creamy finish. This variety has a great strong coffee flavor.

Denmark Milk | Banana Flavored Fun Straws (x2): My family loves these straws. As you can see from the picture, each straw is filled with small flavor beads. As you sip milk through the straw, the beads dissolve and flavor the milk. It’s both tasty and fun.

Haitai | Honey Butter Potato Chips – Special Edition Maple Flavor: I wasn’t sure how I felt about these chips. They have a nice balance of sweet and salty, with a good amount of butter thrown in. I ate more than I thought I would because I was torn on my feelings. In the end, I think I just want a salty potato chip.

Mountain Potato Chips – Black Pepper Flavor: Yes!!! More of these please. This is a thin ridged chip seasoned with salt and black pepper. It’s what I think of when I want a chip and was so satisfying.

Lotte | Waffle Mate – Honey: I’ve received these before in my Snack Fever boxes. These come individually wrapped and look exactly as shown on the box. It’s like eating a great waffle cone that has a slight honey flavor.

** SNACK FEVER SWAG **

Rudolph/Mandoo the Reindeer Socks: How adorable is Mandoo dressed up as Rudolph? These socks are thin, but cushy, and perfect for keeping your tootsies warm this holiday season.

Assorted Snack Fever Holiday Stickers: An assortment of kawaii Snack Fever themed holiday stickers. I love that Mandoo is so festive!

Snack Fever Cozy Cotton Eco Tote: This tote bag is literally asking to be filled (under the Snack Fever logo, it reads, “Please fill it up.”). Maybe you can use it to carry some gifts to friends… gifts like a few delicious K-snacks, perhaps.

I loved the extra touches in this month’s holiday themed box. Apart from the gifts, I felt that a few more snacks made their way into the assortment (well, at least a couple more pieces of certain items).

I’m still a little upset that Snack Fever pulled some of the food items from the snack box assortment to go into their newer Doshirak (lunch) box offering. While I enjoy getting treats, I looked forward to trying out a new ramyun or soup along. I hope these make their way back in the new year. Oppas, can you make that one of your resolutions, please?

While you’re checking out Snack Fever, don’t forget about their other boxes – Doshirak (lunch) box with easy prep/ready-to-serve Korean food, Ramyun box with Korean instant noodles and condiments, or Daebak (jackpot) box with fun souvenirs and merchandise.
