Chococurb is a monthly subscription containing extraordinary, premium, gourmet chocolates – this isn’t your convenience store candy! These items can come from small, local chocolatiers or more established national brands. Every box will have something new, exciting, and absolutely delicious. You can choose from the Classic Box ($35), which has 5-7 items, or choose the Mini ($20), which has 3 items for smaller appetites. Shipping is free during the cooler months but expect to pay for FedEx shipping in the warmer months. I am reviewing the Classic Box today!

This month, my chocolate was in a styrofoam cooler with three ice packs. The ice packs were no longer frozen but my chocolates were in perfect condition. I received my box via FedEx.

Chococurb doesn’t put any product info in the box but they did include a card with info on their new app.

The presentation was simple, with pretty blue tissue paper and a Chococurb sticker.

The chocolate was wrapped in a protective silver pouch to keep it from melting.

Chococurb wants to help you discover chocolate that you will love so they have a short questionnaire that you fill out to let them know your preferences. You can let the know if you like dark or white chocolate, nuts or coffee, etc.

My April 2018 Chococurb! Please keep in mind that your box may vary depending on your preferences! I received 5 different items this month and they all look so good. I always enjoy the variety – white, dark, or milk chocolate; nuts, caramel, everything!

Ticket Hot Chocolate On A Stick In French Truffle ($4.50) “Bold but not afraid to be sweet, our French Dark Truffle is just aggressive enough.”

This was super easy to make. Just heat up a cup of milk (the chocolate-on-a-stick is vegan, so you can use plant-based milk if you like) and stir until the chocolate is melted! I ended up using a whisk to get it a little bit smoother but the taste was wonderful and such a decadent treat!

K’UL Chocolate In Hazelnut & Orange ($10) “Candied orange peel and roasted hazelnuts combined with K’UL signature blend of New World Cacao at 70% Dark creates a luxurious chocolate experience.”

I am a sucker for holographic stickers that change color when you turn them around!

Deep, dark chocolate is embedded with crunchy, tasty hazelnuts and candied orange peel. It’s very simple and delicious. The orange peel provided a nice touch, although the pieces were overly chewy.

Theo Lemon 45% Milk Chocolate ($3.99) “Celebrate spring with sweetly tart lemon in luscious 45% milk chocolate – Bright and yummy.”

Lemon and chocolate may not sound like a good pairing, yet it works in this bar. It has a lively lemon burst of flavor and an amazing smooth, sweet, milk chocolate base.

Elements Truffles 70% Cacao Peppermint Infused With Lavender ($9.99) “Chipper. Refreshing. Promotes deep sleep and beautiful skin. Enjoy it post dinner with your favorite tea to unwind and relax.”

I’ve received several different flavors of Elements bars in different subscription boxes lately (my favorite is Raspberry and Beetroot) and the bars are inspired by ayurveda. This flavor was minty with a touch of lavender, which lent it a sort of lemon flavor. The first ingredient is cacao butter so the texture is different from the usual chocolate bar, but I like it!

Mayana Chocolate Monkey Bar Mini 66% Dark Chocolate ($4) “You’ll love this playful new mini candy bar flavor with banana rum caramel, vanilla bean marshmallow and 66% dark chocolate.”

I think the description says it all! It has that artificial banana flavor that I am not a fan of, plus I’m not into marshmallows. I did like the delicious chocolate and buttery caramel, plus the sea salt on top helped cut the sweetness a bit.

I love to discover new chocolates (and old favorites) in my monthly Chococurb! I always receive high-quality chocolates in perfect condition. I like that Chococurb sends chocolates with ice packs so I can get my chocolate fix all year-long, without having it melt in the Texas heat. The flavors are sometimes unusual but always a delight and I have found so many yummy bars from this subscription!

I have found my favorite monthly subscription box! Do you feel the same way too? Let me know in the comments!
