BeadCrate is a monthly subscription box for bead enthusiasts. Every month, you’ll receive a curated collection of beads, findings, and other goodies to enhance your beading creations! There are two box sizes – Enthusiast ($15.99 + $5 Shipping) and Collector ($35 with free shipping) to choose from.

This is the Enthusiast Crate!

We also have a curator’s note explaining the theme. This month’s theme is Girl’s Best Friend! You can share your creation on their social media (Instagram or Facebook, don’t forget to tag them!) for a chance to get a little surprise in next month’s box.

The crate comes with a chart that tells you exactly what you’re getting.

The beads always come neatly packaged inside individual well-labelled plastic bags inside a cute organza bag.

9x6mm Emerald Green Tear Drops. I love the color! I usually use tear drops shape beads for earrings, but they would be nice as a dangle on a necklace. I like to add a single bead cap at the widest part to add some oomph.

7x6mm Siam Ruby Sparkling Diamonds. Once again, I really like the depth of the color. The shape is not quite flat, not round. I would see them on a bracelet paired with some copper colored wire.

6mm Sapphire Rounds. Simple round beads, they can be used as spacer beads on a metal heavy piece.

4x8mm Rosaline Flowers. I usually have trouble finding something to do with that kind of beads, but this month, they spoke to me. I think it’s the light coloring that reminds me of rose quartz. I wanted to pair them with black diamond colored beads (a medium grey-green color bead), but I mixed them with the Crystal faceted rounds from this month’s box instead. I like how they stay flat, they are perfect for bracelet.

22x8mm Quest Loop Connector (Brass). They can be used as connector on earrings for a nice long dangle, or on a necklace to frame a bright center piece.

3mm Crystal/Color Faceted Round. Each bead has a bit of color, as if they were tie dye. I like that they can be mixed with any of the other colored beads. They would look great in clusters.

12x16mm Crystal Pear Shaped Drops. These are great with thread or thin metal wire. They would make great light earrings.

4mm Crystal Rounds. Simple rounds small beads are fun to have around. They are great with small seed beads, but they are also nice with metal designs.

30x11mm Crystal AB Feather Tubes. There’s always a bead that I’m not quite sure what to do with in this box, and this month it’s these long beads. They would be nice on a big chunky  necklace, or as a single simple pendant on a lariat type necklace.

11/0 Toho Transparent Rainbow Crystal. Every month we receive some kind of seed beads. I like the rainbow coloring that adds some interesting accent to a simple white bead.

2mm Crystal AB Faceted Rounds. I really like these tiny little piece of spark! They look lovely with the seed beads and would fit in any design calling for seed beads.

6mm Crystal AB Faceted Rounds. I think that every month we receive some kind of 6mm faceted rounds, and I’m not complaining! I like to use them in necklace, earrings or bracelet. They are lovely paired with small spacer beads or surrounded by seed beads.

This month, I made two different necklace. The first one was to showcase the cute little flowers. I only added antique silver spacer beads for a fun detail.

My second necklace was inspired by a bead kit I’ve received a few months ago. I used the green tear drops beads and the Crystal Faceted Rounds (I love them). I paired them with pearls beads. I really like how this one turned out!

April’s box was a fun full of color box. I really like deep bright gem-like colors and this box delivered! My favorite beads were the 6mm Crystal AB Faceted Rounds as they are quite fun to work with and they can be add to any kind of design!
