Universal Yums is a monthly international snack subscription box. Every month, you’ll take a trip to a new country and munch on brand new exciting snacks. There are two sizes of box, the Yum ($13) and the Yum Yum ($25). This is the Yum Yum box, and it’s a fun subscription that we get a kick out of each and every month.

This month the treats were from Poland!

These boxes are always so full and they send such an assortment of goodies to try out.

All of the items that came in my Poland Box!

The smaller candies all come in a Yum Bag so they don’t get tossed all around the box. My yums bag was really full this month. It makes me so happy.

This month’s introductory note shares some Polands ups and downs.

The information for all the yums comes in a great booklet each month.

The information book has notes about all of the items and their ingredients.

These books are so informative – it includes a bit of the snack’s history and how it might taste.

Tapsy Cheese and Onion Chips – A country that’s favorite vegetable is the potato? Yes, please I could be all over that. These are their type of potato chips and since chips are my favorite snack food I can get behind it all. These were pretty good but a bit different in taste due to their rice flour but still good.

Wawel Milkizz – Milk in a tube surrounded by creamy milk chocolate. Not bad but a bit sweet for my. My boys liked it though and its more popular with the younger kids so that makes perfect sense.

Dobosz Chocolate Plum – These make me laugh since my girlfriends and I were just talking about plums and giving them to kids and then I got these. I’m not sure I will be sharing these with my kids but it would be a great way to have them eat plums. Just dip them in chocolate and enjoy.

Kopernik Pierniczki with Rose Filling – Rose filled gingerbreads! My oldest sons favorite cookie is a gingerbread and we make them year round at our house. He wasn’t sure about these to start since they had jelly as he said they did but upon trying he says they are really good. He’s picky so that’s saying a lot.

Aksam Peanuts with Paprika – In Poland, they use Paprika like we use Salt and Pepper in the US. I’m all about a flavored peanut so its a fun twist on the normal snack.

Krowki Milk Cream Fudge – Another sweet milk treat in the form of a fudge that isn’t to sticky to eat. These are a bit too sweet for me.

Miesanka Fruit Jellies – These remind me of after dinner candies from a restaurant. While Polish people like meat jelly these do not have meat in them and are just flavorful.

Soleo Caramel Pretzels – Pretzels are Poland’s favorite snack and these delicious sticks were dipped in caramel. It brings a new meaning to salt and sweety.

Wawel Tiki Taki – A mix of coconut, peanut butter and chocolate all in one bar. It could be a mix made in heaven for the right person.

Dobosz Rainbow Marshmallow – A weird concoction of vanilla cream with dark chocolate and specles of fruit jellies. Poland really likes their fruit jellies and has them in lots and lots of their candies.

Raczki “Lobster Tails” – Don’t let the name mislead you there is no seafood in these candies. A more correct name would be pungent peanut brittle with a hint of run flavor but again there is no real rum in these candies. I know so sad since that would be AWESOME! These weren’t too bad as they stand though but not something I will be reaching for all the time.

Tago Meringue Cookies with Lemon Cream – Talk about melt in your mouth. Now these are some cookies I could have day in and day out. Yummy!

Universal Yums sent a delicious French Box this month. I admit I had never really thought much about the snacks that come out of France and just the savory delicatessens.  I’m re-evaluating that as I go through the box since so much in here was right up my alley. What a great way to spend February with all my loves.

The back of the information booklet has a clue for the next country and tells us about the new SUPER YUM box option. Clue:

In April, we’re grabbing the bull by its horns,
And heading to a place where it’s sunny and warm,
But there’s more to this kingdom than beautiful beaches,
Like lemons, corn nuts and patatas fritas!

Where do you think we are going?
