Target Beauty Box recently came out with four limited edition boxes! At first you could only grab one in stores, but about a week later you could order them online and as of this posting they are still available! Each box is only $7 and today I am reviewing the Wakeup and Makeup Box! Make sure to sign up here to get notified when future boxes go on sale!

UPDATE: The 4 new boxes are now available online! This one says temporarily out of stock but it’s available at some local stores, so check it out.

Everything in my box!

Hello Gorgeous!

The product information card listed the products included in the box and a little info about each item. I found four full-sized items in my box!

I received 3 coupons for Dove deodorant, Dove hair care, and Honest Beauty.

The back of the box listed each of the products and their ingredients.

Dove Go Dry Shampoo in Fresh Coconut ($1.15) Dry shampoos are automatically given to my oldest, she loves them! As a busy college student she can just spray her hair, comb it through, and go. I sprayed a bit in my hair and it was fresh and fruity scented.

Dove Dry Spray Invisible Sheer Fresh Antiperspirant Deodorant ($5.49) offers up to 48 hours of protection from wetness and odors. It has a fresh scent and won’t leave a white mark on clothing.

Honest Beauty Refreshingly Clean Makeup Remover Wipes ($2.33) These makeup remover wipes can be used to remove eye or face makeup and use olive oil and plant extracts along with aloe and glycerin. The wipe was a little thin but I didn’t experience any burning or stinging. I used it as a first step in a multi-step cleansing routine – they may help keep your wash cloths looking white if you use them to remove the bulk of your makeup.

Sonia Kashuk Brush Cleansing Wipes ($0.90) These handy-dandy wipes are meant to clean your makeup brushes! Just wipe your brush on one in between colors so that you don’t end up with mud colored eye shadow.

e.l.f. Beautifully Bare Blending Brush ($6) I love makeup brushes and this one is vegan friendly!

The handle is shorter than I am used to but it helped me precisely place my makeup.

I like the shape of this brush too. I used it with the palette shown below and applied blush, highlighter, and contour all with the same brush and was impressed with the results.

Covergirl Peacock Flare Mascara 785 Extreme Black ($5.99) is supposed to help lengthen, thicken, and volumize lashes.

Ohh, the container is very pretty!

The brush was different-looking. I tried applying it several ways: I used one coat and dragged it through my lashes from root to tip; I wiggled it on from root to tip; I held the brush in place and blinked my eyes several times while moving the wand from inner to outer corners. My main problem with brushes is that I have short lashes and I’m afraid I’m going to poke my eye out so this didn’t really make my lashes look longer, just darkened them somewhat.

e.l.f. Beautifully Bare Face Palette ($8) Here’s another full-sized product!

The container is reflective looking but mine was a bit dusty.

There were four shades in this palette.

Top left is a highlighter, next to it is a blush. Bottom left is another blush, next to it is the contour.

Swatched, from top: highlighter, pink blush, coral blush, contour. The colors are buildable and not too dark, I had to put several passes on the swatches to get them to show up. The only problem I had with them was that they have an ingredient called PTFE listed. I didn’t know what that was, and it turns out it’s Teflon! I guess it makes it go on smoothly and last a long time but I’m kind of grossed out now!

I was surprised at how many full-sized items I found in my Target Beauty Box this month! The palette will last a long time, I love the brush, and the mascara will be my go-to for the next three months. My daughter requested makeup remover to take to school so I grabbed the wipes and passed them along to her, much easier to carry around than cotton balls and makeup remover! My box had a value of around $29.86; that’s amazing for a $7 beauty box!
