The Sephora Sun Safety Kit is a yearly sunscreen kit offered by Sephora. It’s nearly sold out for the year – be sure to grab it while it’s still available!

Be sure to check out other Sephora Favorites Kits and subscribe to Hello Subscription notifications for the Sun Safety Kit so you don’t miss the 2019 Sun Safety Kit!

Note: You may still be able to find this kit in your store, or a similar kit at JCP at Sephora. You can check here to see if it’s available at your local Sephora.

The wraparound provides complete details on all the goodies in the kit!

This kit is always jampacked!

I’m already seeing products that I can actually use, and a full-sized one!

This is clearly the best bag ever!

It’s so much nicer than previous Sun Safety Kits and the tassels are fantastic.

Look how cute & fun! This bag is going in my regular rotation after we use up all the sunscreen! We’ve taken to just storing everything in the bag and grabbing it for a day outside.

Sephora works with The Skin Cancer Foundation for the Sun Safety kit and even donates $20 from each sale to the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

Sephora donates $25 from the sale of each kit to skin cancer research and education. $20 will go to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (https://www.mskcc.org) to help fund a cure. MSK sets the gold standard in research and care. $5 will go to The Skin Cancer Foundation (www.skincancer.org) (up to $200,000), the leading organization for public and professional education of skin cancer prevention, detection, and treatment.

The kit cost $4 more than last year, but they bumped the donation by $5. Great!

All the items in the kit!

Lancome BIENFAIT UV SPF 50+ Super Fluid Facial Sunscreen ($40) They started off with a must-have as summer is approaching.  Lancome provides a fast-absorbing, oil-free facial sunscreen in SPF 50+ protection that shields the skin from harmful UVA and UVB rays that may contribute to skin damage and premature skin aging. And – it’s full size!

Supergoop! Super Power Sunscreen Mousse SPF 50 ($19) For dry skin, this one can do magic, and it also works for other skin types, like oily or combination. the Super Power Sunscreen Mousse is a lightweight whip that delivers broad-spectrum UV protection with an antioxidant-rich, super-hydrating, water-resistant formula, plus it’s also SPF 50 and a full travel size product.

The first two products have a $59 value, so if you weren’t already sold on protecting your skin and funding skin cancer research, I think this should be enough to push anyone who’s hesitating over the edge!

Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Alpha Beta® Pad Self-Tanner for Face ($5.70) I also got 3 6.6 ml sachets of self-tanner for the face from Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare. The pads provide a radiant, sunkissed glow all year-round, blocking exposure to the sun’s harmful UVA/UVB rays, while active vitamin D gives the face a natural-looking color, and enhances the benefits from other vitamins and antioxidants in the formula.

AMOREPACIFIC Resort Collection Sun Protection Mist ($12) Remedying dryness and redness, it is a lightweight, undetectable sunscreen that covers the skin in an even layer of soothing sun protection against UV rays, and even heat-aging It also contains matsutake mushroom that cools and hydrates sun-exposed skin.

REN Evercalm Ultra Comforting Rescue Mask ($7.60) Great for sensitive skin, this soothing face mask reduces redness, irritation, itchiness, and inflammation. It contains original white mushroom extract to de-stress the skin for a sensation of calm and comfort and makes the skin velvety soft and smooth with even tone and a luminous, healthy complexion.

Farmacy Green Screen Daily Environmental Protector Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30 ($7.60) Another product that’s good for all skin types from one of my favorite brands, it is a non-greasy broad spectrum mineral sunscreen and daily skin shield that guards against the environmental factors associated with skin aging. It remedies fine lines and wrinkles, uneven skin tone, and dark spots.

Peter Thomas Roth Max Sheer All Day Lotion SPF 30 ($12.35) Peter Thomas all-day lotion is can be used daily, in the morning, and after cleansing. To use it, you can apply it directly to clean skin, or after treatment products, thirty minutes before sun exposure. It provides extra-sheer protection against UVA/UVB rays as it soothes and hydrates skin.

philosophy Ultimate Miracle Worker Multi-Rejuvenating Cream SPF 30 ($9.37) The ultimate rejuvenating cream is really welcome in my kit as it helps protect and defend your skin by simultaneously addressing all key signs of aging.  It protects the skin from sunlight, including UVA, UVB, infrared, and visible light to support antiaging.

tarte Tarteguard 30 Vegan Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 ($4.33) A vegan product that deals with skin problems like dryness, fine lines and wrinkles, and also protects you from the sun’s harmful rays. It is infused with antioxidants to protect against UV-induced free radical damage, and the best part, without a greasy residue!

Drunk Elephant Umbra Tint Physical Daily Defense SPF 30 ($9) I got another sunscreen that is tinted, and delivers powerful broad-spectrum UVA/UVB protection and helps aid in the prevention of free radical and oxidative damage as well as photoaging for a more youthful-looking complexion. The tint in it gives a glowing finish. One of my faves from this kit!

Shiseido Wetforce Ultimate Sun Protection Lotion SPF 50+ for Face/Body ($2.78) A lightweight lotin yet delivers SPF 50 in a clear formula, this sun protection works well when exposed to water! It’s also great for normal, oily, combination, dry, and sensitive skin.

Murad Invisiblur Perfecting Shield SPF 30 PA+++ ($11.05) Dr. Murad is known for anti-aging skin products, and this innovative antiaging treatment, primer, and invisible SPF immediately blurs and protects while combating the signs of aging, it truly works wonders! It also reduces fine lines and wrinkles, while drives away dullness and uneven texture! This product is a great one and I really love how it makes my face look even without any makeup!

COOLA Rōsilliance Organic BB+ Cream SPF 30 in Light/Medium ($5.91) I got this BB+ cream in light/medium shade, that leaves skin looking flawless and even-toned. It also provides broad-spectrum SPF 30 sun protection and long-term anti-aging benefits. Organic ingredients, mineral sunscreen, easy coverage!

Clinique Pep-Start Hydrorush Moisturizer SPF 20 ($4.13) The Sun’s rays are really harmful and I’m really happy to get products that combat their effects. In this case I’ve tried out the Pep-Start products but not Hydrorush! I’d say it’s great for my dry skin (and perfect for a crisper springy day with lots of wind) but maybe not perfect for summer sweaty sun days.

Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment Sunscreen SPF 15 in Rose ($12.28) Aside from skin products, I also got this lip treatment with the same effect, protect the lips from the sun!

It comes in Sugar Rose Tinted, which is a sheer rosy tint. It also has SPF 15 that moisturizes, protects, and smooths the lips in such a pretty shade!

Dr. Jart+ Cicapair Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment SPF 30 ($12) And for the last product, I got a green-to-beige color-correcting treatment. It corrects redness and helps protect skin from environmental aggressors.

Gotu kola (AKA tiger grass), shea butter, and several herbal oils help soothe skin and reduce redness and it also treats acne and blemishes! I tried this out once for irritated skin, which it didn’t help, but I’m trying it again for its other benefits.

Sephora Sun Safety Kit is really a summer must-have! I love that it contains a lot of skin-loving, sun-protecting products that I can use all over my body to protect it from the sun’s harmful rays and avoid other skin problems. It also contains one full size and one travel size product so it’s really a win for me. The box costs just $36, but the total retail amount is about 5 times that. It’s really a great deal, I don’t mind stashing a lot of sunscreen or sun-protecting lotions as the effects of the sun’s scorching heat can be serious, but this kit makes it a little easier to prevent them!
