All the Loot Crate DX goodies this month!

Ready Player One By Ernest Cline ($8.67) BONUS

In the year 2045, reality is an ugly place. The only time teenage Wade Watts really feels alive is when he’s jacked into the virtual utopia known as the OASIS. Wade’s devoted his life to studying the puzzles hidden within this world’s digital confines—puzzles that are based on their creator’s obsession with the pop culture of decades past and that promise massive power and fortune to whoever can unlock them.
But when Wade stumbles upon the first clue, he finds himself beset by players willing to kill to take this ultimate prize. The race is on, and if Wade’s going to survive, he’ll have to win—and confront the real world he’s always been so desperate to escape.

Ready Player One is currently showing in theaters! Since we love to read just as much as we love watching movies, we’re happy to receive this book that inspired Steven Spielberg’s newest masterpiece. It happens to be a duplicate for us (it appeared as an item in the core crate a few years back) but we think it’s a great bonus!

The story is jampacked with 80s nostalgia!

Activision Pin Set. Activision is a one of the best retro American video game publishers. These pins feature some of its classic games from the 80s: River Raid, Pitfall, and Kaboom! They’ve evolved quite a bit since the 80s but really, these old school games are still amongst some of my favorites.

Pac-Man T-Shirt. This shirt is my favorite so far in this box! It features the classic game, and seeing the maze brought back lots of memories!

The design pays homage to the kill screen glitch on the 256th board of the original Pac-Man arcade cabinet.

Who wouldn’t know about this game? It’s one of the best! Created by Japanese video game designer Toru Iwatani, Pac-Man has been providing fun and entertainment since 1980!

DO NOT CROSS STREAMS

The cherry is the first fruit that appeared on the maze, so it’s just right that it also made an appearance on this shirt!

Back To The Future Collapsible Duffel. Travel bags usually take more storage space when not in use, so it’s nice to have a collapsible duffel bag like this one!

The duffel bag features a repeating DeLorean pattern, and it collapses to a flux capacitor pocket when not in use.

It’s lightweight, and can easily be stashed inside another bag, just when you need a vessel for extra stuff.

It also comes with a front pocket for smaller items.

It’s spacious, and can really hold a lot of stuff. And really, it’s a flux capacitor/Delorean bag. Auto-win!

Batman & Robin Bendable Figures. We got the most popular dynamic duo in super hero history, Batman and Robin, as bendable figures!

These two proved that people can create a great family relationship, despite of the dire circumstances they’re into. Bruce Wayne adopted the kid so his path won’t go to the vengeance trail.

The figures show the two characters in their classic costumes and match those from January 2017. Batman is in his Batsuit, which consists of a two-piece grey body suit with a bat-shaped emblem sewn into the chest region, and a cape. His cowl was black in color and it covers his head and half of his face, leaving only his mouth and chin exposed, and there are pointed ears too.

Meanwhile, Robin dons his red suit with his logo on the left, a green inner shirt, and green long pants. He also has a cape and a mask.

The capes are fabric attached to the figures so you can just pull it up, unlike most figures that have the capes as a part of the figure’s body, in plastic or vinyl. The figures are also poseable so it’s really a plus!

Pac-Man Throw Blanket. I got another Pac-Man item, and it’s a huge yellow blanket!

It features a Pac-Man logo!

The fleece blanket features side graphics from the original Pacman arcade cabinet, the ghost chasing our hero Pacman in a sly smile.

When I say huge, it means the blanket is more than enough to cover one person from head to foot!

This month’s nostalgic PLAYBACK theme is definitely awesome! Loot Crate DX curated an impressive collection of past games and shows, and I can’t help but just go wild over it! The entire box is a hit, and we really love all the inclusions. Glad to get poseable figures of the dynamic duo Batman and Robin, but the high notes for me are retro games & Back to the Future. Everything is licensed and high-quality, so we could not ask for more – it even arrived on time!
