Everything in my April box!
My box was packed full again this month. DegustaBox does a great job of wrapping the glass jars in bubble wrap and keeping things from getting broken and there are so many full-size items in the box everything is all packed in and good for shipping.
This month we have a Roadtrip box.
The information sheets are always great and full of information on the included items.
ALO Spring ($1.99) – A delicious on the go drink with real Aloe Vera juice and pulp blended with cranberry, mulberry, and blueberry juices. I took this to the office with me and it was so yummy. I’m going to add it to my on the go drinks.
POPChips Nutter Puffs ($1.49) – This is an interesting combination of what tasted like peanut butter pirates booty. It was ok and my son liked it but not sure its a go to for me. I do love PopChips though so if my boys want this then I’ll be glad to add it to our snacks.
La Tortilla Factory Cocina Fresca Sauce Starter ($3.99) – Oh my gosh I can’t wait to try this one out. We love all Mexican inspired dishes and with me going back to work I’m always looking for slow cooker recipes that are easy and delicious. This one is a spicy blend of smoky chipotle, Mexican herbs and a hint of lime juice. I need a night to give this a try.
La Tortilla Factory Tortillas ($3.19) – Yummy! We have La Tortilla Factory tortillas all the time and they are some of our favorites. I’m so glad they included them to go with our Barbacoa.
The back of the info sheet has a recipe for one or two of the items. This month we get a recipe for Beef Tacos!
Country Archer Jerky Co Mango Habanero Beef Jerky ($2.99) – A 100% grass-feb beef jerky that is a sweeter, more sophisticated way to spice things up. Another snack that reminds me of roadtrips and my brothers. I need to introduce jerky to my boys and let them start the roadtrip tradition.
BookchickaPOP Popcorn ($3.49 for big bag each) – So exciting. This popcorn is a staple on my crafting weekends so always a great go to when on the go.
Torie & Howard Fruit Chews ($1.99) – Are fruit snacks a food group in your house? They are a staple in my house and I’m always looking for a better for them variety to snack on. This passed the boys test for flavor which is a hard test to pass since they are very particular.
Amazin’ Raisin ($5.99 for 5 packs) – My youngest is currently obsessed with Lemons. He eats them like you would an orange and loves them. He right away grabbed this one and told me they were really good. He doesn’t normally eat raisins as they are but I’m guessing the flavored ones work for him.
Fini Sweets – Shock Tongues Chewy Candy, Kollisions Chewy Candy, and Tornadoes Fizzy Chewy Candy ($1.09 each) – What road trip is complete without candy? We are chewy candy people here and I had never heard of these. They were all really good and some I’ll grab the next time we go on vacation.
Zeigler’s juice blend ($3.99) – A nice mixed up drink of delicious fruit and veggies that will help give you a pwoer packed dosage of your daily fruits & veggies.
Goya plantains ($1.99) – Chips are my downfall and I will sit and eat the whole bag in one sitting. These plantain chips are a little bit nuttier in flavor but just as crunchy as a regular chip.
DegustaBox sent a box that now has me ready to go on summer vacation. I’m ready for a road trip and to go out and explore someone place new. I’m really liking the themed months and seeing how all the items fit to that theme and how I might use them. This month has some new to me companies and items that I’m planning to add to my families shopping trips. I’m always looking for something that isn’t the same thing over and over again and I feel Degustabox helps me step outside my box and try new things. A great box to get every month!
Have you tried DegustaBox? Did you have a favorite this month?
Comments
I really liked both the aloe juice and the jerky. I got the chocolate peanut version of the Puffs – they’re ok, but the chocolate isn’t very strong. Not bad, but I wouldn’t seek them out. The raisins were interesting – my family won’t eat raisins, but I like them. Like you, I’m in need of a night to make the barbacoa. It sounds good, though.
