My April Blind Date books, The Forgotten by Heather Graham ($19.99) and Dark Bites by Sherrilyn Kenyon ($17.47). This month I got two hardback books.

The books are listed on the back of the bookmark with a little quote or blurb about the book.

Dark Bites by Sherrilyn Kenyon ($17.47) – This looks so good. My time has been limited lately so I’m having trouble always picking up big books since I get so sucked into them and can’t stop until they are done. This is a collection of novellas so I will have some pre-set stops. How perfect!

For years, fans have been clamoring for an all-in-one collection of #1 bestselling author Sherrilyn Kenyon’s novellas. At their enthusiastic behest, we have delivered this New York Times bestselling short story collection, Dark Bites, including stories previously exclusive to Sherrilyn’s website, as well as an original, never-before seen Dark-Hunter story!

Sherrilyn Kenyon takes readers from the Dark-Hunters to the demigods, from Dream-Hunters to demons, and everything in between. Dangerous and exciting, each story is one thrill ride after the next, proving time and again how Sherrilyn has captivated millions of readers worldwide. Now, readers are invited to go deep into Kenyon’s rich and imaginative world and experience the heart-racing moments that never stop coming!

The Forgotten by Heather Graham ($19.99) – Heather Graham is an author I’ve read before and always enjoyed her books. I have not read this series and can’t wait to dig into the Krewe of Hunters and see what is up. Doesn’t a unit of paranormal investigators remind you of the Winchesters on Supernatural? Since that is my favorite show ever I can see this book being equally exciting and a great fit for me.

Murdered by a dead man?

A woman named Maria Gomez is murdered in Miami, apparently by her husband—who’d been presumed dead, slain by a crime boss. FBI agent Brett Cody can’t believe it; dead or alive, the man had loved his wife. Brett also can’t help feeling guilty, since he was responsible for protecting Miguel and Maria Gomez.

A few miles away, Lara Mayhew has just begun working at a dolphin research facility. She loves her new job—until a dolphin brings her something unexpected from the deep. A human hand. More body parts show up, and when Brett looks into the situation, he discovers that the dismembered corpse is Miguel’s.

Soon, rumors of crazed zombies abound in the Miami media, and the Krewe of Hunters, an elite FBI unit of paranormal investigators, is called in. Brett and Lara find themselves working with the Krewe—and working closely together. An elderly crime boss who’s losing his memory seems to be key to solving this case, but…there’s no motive. Unless Brett and Lara can uncover one in the Miami underworld. And that means they have to protect themselves. And each other.

BookCase.Club sent two spot on books for me this month. With getting two hardback books this month the box was very heavy which always gives me a bit of a thrill.  Both books are ones that will fit into my style of reading and I’ve been in need for some novellas and I’m already a Heather Graham fan so I’m excited to start this series from here. I love finding new books and authors each month and keeping the rotation of choices in my to be read pile fresh and growing.
