Yay, two hair products for my fine hair!

They really send the cutest boxes. I use them to store beauty products and to corral the ones on my dresser.

This month, Birchbox’s theme is Reboot Your Routine.

Embrace a spring state of mind with a fresh new routine.

The information card gives brief details on each item as well as the price if you were to buy the full size.

You can visit Birchbox.com/MyBox to easily see the details of your box, which I recommend because sometimes they have videos on the item product pages which I find useful.

Everything in my April box!

Oribe Grandiose Hair Plumping Mousse ($5.47) was my sample choice this month and I was very pleased with the results. I have fine hair and this helped pump up the volume and my hair kept its style all day long. Plus, it smelled amazing, like peaches.

Ouai Haircare Volume Spray ($4.65) worked all right but not as well as the mousse above. It also smelled nice, but it was strong and almost like cologne. I left my room and returned a little later and could still smell it. I do appreciate that it offers heat and UV protection too.

Clarins Multi-Active Day Cream ($3.18) I love sunscreen and use one every day, all year long. It didn’t have that typical sunscreen smell, but unfortunately, it smelled like perfume. It does have several plant extracts for their anti-aging benefits.

Smashbox Insta-Matte Lipstick Transformer ($11.29) The idea behind this transformative product is that you can double your lipstick collection, simply by using this over a creme and changing it to a matte. It made my lipstick bunch up and pill, but it worked just like it said it would.

The Beauty Crop Glow Milk Liquid Highlighter ($19.50) I used to run far away from highlighters but now I embrace them! This one is vegan and cruelty-free and is easy to carry around for touch ups.

Look at how pretty it is! I found out the hard way that a little goes a long way, but I just kept blending and it worked out well. You can use your fingers or a brush, and you can even mix some into a body lotion to get your glow on.

On the top I have the highlighter blended, and below that it is straight out of the bottle. Then I swatched a lip color. The top swatch is untouched, the second one has the Smashbox matte transformer applied on top.

Overall I was very pleased with my April Birchbox! I loved the volumizing mousse, the volumizing spray worked well, and the highlighter was full-sized and will last a long time. The sunscreen was good but too perfumey for my tastes, and the lip mattifier was fun to try. I felt like Birchbox went by my profile, especially since my biggest concern is flat, lifeless hair, and they delivered. My box had a value of around $44.09, which is amazing for a $10 box! Please keep in mind that your box and value may differ since Birchbox sends many different combinations of products each month.
