Birchbox Man is a monthly grooming and lifestyle subscription for men. Through it, you’ll receive 3-4 sample items that are smaller versions of what you can order from the Birchbox site. There are two versions – Birchbox Man Plus for $20 per month that includes a full-size lifestyle item, or regular Birchbox Man for $10 per month with no lifestyle item.
This is a review of the Birchbox Man Plus $20 per month box.
DEAL: While supplies last, use coupon code VITAMINS to get a FREE hims The Handsome Vitamin (30 gummy vitamins) with your first month of Birchbox Man!
The lifestyle item often doesn’t fit in the sample box.
Everything comes neatly and well contained!
Birchbox has always been about the samples, so if you are a stickler for calculating in-box value, you’ll have to do some math to figure the per ounce value. The cards show the price for the full-size version of the included items — they are available on the Birchbox site. See your box at birchbox.com/mybox.
Here are the items in my April 2018 box.
TRNDLabs Coal Wireless Earbuds ($19) These earbuds are made with premium and durable materials and each are finished with real metal on both ends. The 1.3-meter long cable is completely flat which keeps it from tangling whether the earbuds are in use or stuffed into your bag or pocket.
Along the cable is a three button control panel where you can manage everything from skipping tracks, adjusting the volume, and even taking calls.
The earbuds also come with three different sized interchangeable ear pads. The small, medium, and large pieces can be easily swapped to provide the perfect fit for any activity.
Harry’s Post Shave Balm ($5 Full Size 1.7 oz) Packed with marula oil, aloe, cucumber and licorice root, this balm cools and refreshes just-shaven skin to minimize redness and unwanted skin irritation. It also brings moisture without any sign of heaviness or residue.
These are just sample packs, which are really tiny, but you can try Harry’s for $8 here.
Marvis Classic Strong Mint ($2.40) A toothpaste with a classic mint and whitening formula that keeps your breath fresh and removes surface stains from your teeth. The taste was really minty and it stays quite long in my mouth! This is one of my favorites and I’m never disappointed to see it in a box.
Baxter Beard Line-Up Shave Gel ($5.62) You can use this shave gel with or without water! The formula is packed with aloe vera for an ultra-precise shave without causing any irritation or discomfort. It also leaves a cooling sensation, thanks to mint.
Oars + Alps Cooling Cleansing Wipe ($2.29) These multi-purpose wipes feature arctic blue ice crystals that cool down your skin and help it exfoliate. It also contains caffeine and ginseng root extract which soothe puffiness and purge skin of free radicals from environmental stressors.
It comes in a very handy packaging, so you can easily stash it in your gym bag or travel bag!
CW Beggs & Sons Anti-Wrinkle Defense Moisturizer ($11.18) Ideal for everyday use, this moisturizer was formulated to protect the skin against environmental stress. It has Canadian red maple extract and kakadu plum which boosts collagen production, improves skin tone, and reduces the appearance of wrinkles.
You can apply this product twice every day, morning and evening, for a quick and effective result. The formula was light and it didn’t leave any residue on my skin.
Jack Black All Over Wash ($3.15) A 3-in-1 wash with jojoba protein and panthenol. The formula is packed with botanicals, giving it a refreshing scent that lingers on the skin.
This wash is ph-balanced, making it mild enough for your face, hair, and any part of your body. It also has a rich lather that helps remove dirt and sweat.
Birchbox Man has been very consistent in sending the best grooming items for everyday use. They never forget to cover the basics like this month’s shave cream gel, body wash, and moisturizer. I even got to select a high-quality pair of earphone/earbuds as the box’s lifestyle item. For me, getting all these for $20 is such an awesome deal!
